Laura Collins Warning

Laura summoned Ric to her office to discuss Elizabeth; she was concerned that Ric’s connection with her and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to deal with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) could endanger Liz.

Laura believed that Sidwell was already aware that Elizabeth was her former daughter-in-law and the mother of one of her grandsons, and once he discovered her romantic link to Sonny’s brother, he would use her safety as leverage against them.

The mayor mentioned that Liz had praised Ric’s new demeanor to her.

Given the deceit and trust issues that had affected their previous relationships, she questioned whether it troubled him that he was now deceiving Liz out of necessity. Ric went on to explain why he felt that he had to.

Ric Lansing Speaks From The Heart

In a heartfelt confession, Ric opened up about his deep feelings for Elizabeth, revealing that he had always struggled with feelings of inadequacy in her presence.

He admitted that his jealousy towards Sonny had often caused him to stumble in their relationship in the past.

Although he was currently withholding some truths from Elizabeth, he believed that his intentions were noble as he aimed to assist Laura and Sonny in their efforts to take down a dangerous criminal.

Ric was consumed by the fear that if he let Elizabeth slip away now, she might never offer him another opportunity to be with her again.

Nevertheless, Laura advised him to take a step back from the relationship until the threat posed by Sidwell had diminished.

Curtis Ashford Fills Jordan Ashford In

General Hospital recaps for Wednesday’s show note that Curtis told Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) why he thought Isaiah was the other driver.

He didn’t want to be right, as Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) might think he was after her new boyfriend.

Still, he frowned, knowing he couldn’t let someone so careless be near his child.

When Jordan said the other driver might not have realized they crashed, Curtis replied that Isaiah could have come forward after the accident.

Jordan was shocked that Curtis went to Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) instead of the PCPD with his theory, but he agreed to drop it

if Jordan wanted to ask Justine to let it go. Ultimately, Jordan decided that if there was clear proof that Isaiah was at fault, she would confront him.

Sonny Corinthos’s Spills About His Brother

At their secret meeting, Sonny told Justine he gave Ric one last chance, but Ric messed up by lying about the D.A. meeting.

Justine was surprised Sonny hired Ric to defend Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), given their past, so Sonny explained how they had repaired their broken relationship.

Sonny complained that he trusted Ric and now felt set up. Justine suggested he find out why Ric lied, as it might not mean betrayal.

Sonny questioned if he was overreacting, and Justine noted that in their jobs, they often see the worst in people.

She understood his doubts because she also struggled with trust.

Britt Westbourne’s Nerves

At the hospital, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was anxious during a conversation with Elizabeth about a NICU staffing issue.

When the nurse inquired if she was alright, Britt snapped at Liz to keep her fake sympathy to herself.

Then, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) came to talk to Liz, but Britt complained that he was interrupting the hospital matters she was handling with Nurse Baldwin.

After Liz shared the NICU details, a frustrated Britt hung around trying to discuss more scheduling, but left when Dante suggested he could ask her about the shooting if she had a moment.

Dante Falconeri’s Favor

Once alone with Liz, Dante revealed that he suspected a cover-up regarding Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) shooting and was conducting his own investigation with evidence he had hidden from the WSB.

The PCPD lab had analyzed the gun before the WSB took over the case and discovered two blood types on it;  one belonging to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Dante requested Liz to secretly obtain a sample of Cullum’s blood so he could compare it to the blood found on the gun. She agreed, frustrated that the WSB had taken Jake Webber’s (Hudson West) father away.

Since the hospital had performed a blood draw on Cullum that day, Elizabeth easily got a copy for Dante, and when he expressed his gratitude, she winked, saying she didn’t know what he meant.

”Nathan West” Corners Isaiah Gannon

In another part of the hospital, Nathan West a.k.a. Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey), who hurt his ribs in a fight with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), asked Isaiah for help.

He wanted no questions, as Isaiah did for Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr). Still, Isaiah hesitated at first, mentioning that his friend Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) was mad at Nathan, but he eventually agreed to help.

Isaiah said Nathan needed an MRI to check for rib fractures, and Nathan insisted his name shouldn’t be on the scans.

Isaiah was then called away for surgery and asked Britt to take over-she agreed, though not happily.

Britt took Isaiah’s tablet, but when she entered the exam room, she was shocked to see a shirtless Cassius and how badly he was injured.

Ethan Lovett Gets The Low Down

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) explained to Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) what had occurred with Delilah Wilson (Lily Cardone).

They detailed their search for Phoebe Wilson’s (uncredited infant) family and their desire to adopt the baby. While discussing how they found an unconscious Delilah, Ethan casually inquired if she had been attacked.

Chase speculated that Delilah might have fabricated her fainting episode due to feeling lightheaded. He then pointed out that since she had no ID in her purse, he couldn’t shake the feeling that she was concealing something.

Ethan Pressed More Information

General Hospital recaps for Wednesday, May 6, reveal that Ethan pressed Chase for more information, leading him to disclose that the PCPD had discovered Delilah’s luggage, which was packed with expensive clothing and a list of art galleries.

Yet there was nothing to identify her, and her fingerprints had not appeared in any database.

The longer they searched without any leads, the more convinced Chase became that Delilah was intentionally hiding her whereabouts.

Gazing at the baby, Ethan remarked that it was fortunate Delilah had encountered them. Then, Brook Lynn expressed her amazement that she and Chase had been contemplating adoption before Phoebe unexpectedly entered their lives.

Ethan noted that it was evident Brook Lynn and Chase had a deep love for Phoebe.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s Regret

After Ethan departed, Brook Lynn expressed regret for not asking him what had brought him back to town.

She was also shocked that they had initially confided in Ethan Lovett, of all people, about their desire to adopt Phoebe.

Brook Lynn then confided her fear that the state might take Phoebe away from them, but Chase reassured his wife that anyone who attempted to do so would face a fierce battle.

Holding Phoebe close, Chase assured the baby that he and Brook Lynn were not going anywhere. Both he and Brook Lynn looked down at Baby Phoebe lovingly.

Ethan Revealed A Close Connection

Lastly, a deeply emotional Ethan made his way back to the pier; as he reached into his pocket, he pulled out a cherished photo of Delilah.

With tears streaming down his face, he offered her a heartfelt apology for not being there when she needed him the most.

He lamented that she was meant to be safe in Port Charles, a place he had hoped would protect her. Ethan told Delilah he had seen the baby, and she was truly beautiful.

With a heavy heart, he took out his lighter and set the photograph ablaze. He vowed to keep the memory of her close to his heart, ensuring that no one else would ever find out about it.
