Brotherly Advice
While preparing invitations for a family barbecue, Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) mentioned to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) her desire to invite Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor).
She wanted the “ADA lady” there since Justine brought him joy. However, Sonny fabricated a reason, claiming the lawyer was too occupied to attend.
Ric then arrived to show Sonny the engagement ring he had purchased for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).
When Ric disclosed his plan to propose that evening, Sonny questioned his brother’s urgency, especially since the couple had not yet discussed marriage.
Ric Lansing’s Concern
Suppressing his jealousy regarding Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Ric explained that he simply wanted to ensure he wouldn’t lose Elizabeth to someone else.
He added that he wanted to avoid any complications in their relationship, as he envisioned spending his life with her.
Although Sonny believed his brother’s decision stemmed from insecurity and fear, he ultimately offered his support when Ric asserted that Elizabeth had changed him for the better.
After Ric departed, Sonny checked on Donna, who had her invitations ready to go but discreetly concealed the one intended for Justine.
Ric Got An Eyeful
Dante encountered Elizabeth at the park and offered to assist her in constructing a bookcase after his softball match.
Later, he showed up at her home, limping due to a knee injury sustained during the game. Liz insisted on checking his injury, which meant he had to remove his pants.
When Ric arrived – holding a bouquet of red roses and the engagement ring, ready to propose – he was taken aback when he glanced through the window and saw a half-clothed Dante on the couch with Elizabeth.
Bursting into the house, Ric startled both Liz and Dante as he demanded to know what was happening.
Jordan Accepted The Aurora CEO Job
General Hospital recaps for Wednesday note that before heading to Pentonville, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) spent his last hours at home with Jordan and their baby, Desmond Robinson Ashford (Yireh Aviah Lafond).
As he felt sad about being away from his son, Jordan promised that she and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) would help Desmond remember his father.
Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) came by to discuss who would temporarily take over Curtis’s role at Aurora; Curtis asked Jordan if she wanted to be the CEO instead of just advising Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
After some encouragement from Michael and confirming that Curtis genuinely wanted her to lead, Jordan agreed to the interim CEO role.
Once Michael left, Curtis expressed that knowing Jordan was in charge would put him at ease-they hugged, both wishing Curtis didn’t have to go to prison.
Nina Reeves’ SOS
After a tense encounter with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) at the pool, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) turned to Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) once more, seeking his assistance in uncovering information about Michael.
She hoped to find evidence that could suggest Michael and Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) had drugged Willow.
However, Jack cautioned Nina to refrain from meddling in Willow and Michael’s affairs, advising her not to further enable her daughter.
Just then, Nina received a call from Willow and hurriedly left. Meanwhile, across the deck, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) engaged in a conversation with Ava Jerome (Maura West).
Ava Jerome’s Concern
Drew reassured Ava that Nina would question their meeting, suggesting that Nina and Willow had wronged him more than he had them; he then revealed that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was no longer with Sonny.
Looking to exploit Sonny’s vulnerability, Drew sought Ava’s advice on which Sidwell assets to bid on at the auction, especially with Valentin also in the mix.
Eager to assist Drew in outmaneuvering both men, Ava offered her full support. Jack approached them, giving Drew a subtle warning about making enemies while hiding so much.
After Jack left, Drew confided in Ava that Jack believed he had control over him… for now. Drew was playing along, but he planned to turn the situation around soon.
Kai Taylor’s Resignation
Kai approached the gatehouse to hand his resignation letter to Willow, who coldly accused him of making false claims about her.
When he confessed to telling Michael that she had shot Drew, Willow tried to deflect the blame onto him, but he remained firm, relieved that the truth was finally revealed.
As he left, Willow cautioned him that escaping the chaotic situation wouldn’t be as simple as he believed.
When Nina arrived, Willow acknowledged that she should have listened to her mother’s advice against escalating matters with Michael, as she lost a chance to reconcile with her ex.
For now, she remarked, she was fine playing by Michael’s rules since she was no longer the powerless and isolated person she had been before: now, she was a congresswoman with support.
Simon’s Rejection
During a meeting at the Surf Lodge, Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Trina confronted Simon (Grady Eldridge) about the label’s marketing strategy, which required them to fake a relationship.
Both Gio and Trina expressed their discomfort, but Simon urged them to maintain the facade, forcing them to conceal their real relationships with Kai and Emma.
Frustrated, Simon watched as Kai took Trina outside for a private chat. When Kai revealed he had quit as Willow’s intern, Trina was thrilled about their fresh start; however, Kai seemed rattled by his talk with Willow.
Emma reassured Gio that she didn’t want to hinder his career, but despite his promise to never seek success without her, she worried about what lay ahead for them.
