He also had his own affair with Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and went through a terrible explosion that left him severely burned, requiring months of recovery in a hospital abroad.
Michael’s Upset About Losing Sasha And Daisy
And that doesn’t even begin to cover what he has experienced over the years! Now, Sasha has left Port Charles with Daisy Gilmore (Evelyn and Brenden Beimford) to live with her father for her daughter’s safety. Michael gets it, but that doesn’t mean he’s pleased about losing Sasha.
To clarify, it’s not that Michael is angry with her, Rory Gibson tells Michael Fairman in their recent interview. He’s just feeling pretty crushed; according to Gibson, Michael has been falling back in love with Sasha, and then there’s Daisy.
Michael’s Been Through So Much In His Life
From Michael’s viewpoint, he shares with Fairman, “I’ve faced so much in my life, and then this massive fire occurs that nearly takes me out of the game entirely. I return with a fresh perspective on life;” now that he’s back, he’s taking control of his situation; he’s seizing control of his life.

Gibson acknowledges that since Michael’s return, he has been somewhat distant with Sasha; “Those walls were gradually coming down,” he says. “I thought to myself, ‘We are reaching this point.'” It was a positive development-Gibson describes it as a place where Michael could have experienced a “loving, perfect family once more.” He and Sasha could have regained everything Michael had lost with Willow- however, Sasha left and according to Rory “this is the most heartbreaking thing that could be happening at the moment.”
Michael’s Facing Loss Again-And He’s Angry!
Michael is experiencing loss again and, “I believe he’s overwhelmed with a lot of frustration and sadness, and honestly, a great deal of anger as well. He’s not in a good place right now; he’s very upset.”
Willow and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) should be cautious about that last part; because he’s unaware that Willow has been manipulating him and Sasha.
He doesn’t realize that Drew is about to attempt to portray him as a drug user who isn’t fit to be a parent. When Michael discovers this… well, he’s not going to handle it well after losing Sasha, which means those two could be in serious trouble.

Michael Will Absolutely Want In On What Curtis Ashford’s Planning For Drew!
And if Michael learns what Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is planning for Drew, he’s almost certain to want to get involved — in the most painful way possible!
“Michael doesn’t let himself be pushed around,” Gibson jokes to Fairman, “and he’s not someone to be toyed with-better buckle up!”
Fans who have watched Michael over the years know that he’s no wimp-Drew may try to bring up his “murder” of Claudia Zacchara-Corinthos (Sarah Joy Brown).
He killed her with an axe-handle-protecting his then baby sister Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and then there was the time he threw Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) across the room! That was protecting Sasha, when she was on a ventilator he tried to turn off!
