General Hospital Rumors: Peter and Jason’s Epic Showdown – Will Jason Kill Peter?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that an epic showdown is brewing between Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Peter has until now evaded Jason’s vengeance because he is Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) son and Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) boyfriend. But Peter’s recent actions have once again put him in Jason’s crosshairs, and this time Jason may not show any leniency.
As viewers know, Jason was held prisoner for five years by Peter. Peter had wanted to use Jason to kill his criminal father Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Faison was an evil criminal mastermind and he basically tried to turn into a new version of himself.
But that’s not what Peter wanted, and the only way he knew out was to have Jason kill him. Jason escaped before that could happen, and although Peter tried to cover his tracks, it wasn’t long before Jason discovered Peter was the one who kept him away from his friends and family all that time.

But Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) intervened as implored Jason not to kill Peter, because he is her son! Later evidence has indicated that this may not be the case, Peter may actually be the son of Anna’s twin sister, Alex Devane (Finola Devane), but this hasn’t been confirmed one way or another.

In the past two years, Peter has also struck up a relationship with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and became publisher of the Invader, hiring Lulu Spencer as one of his reporters.
In recent months, Peter’s past has come back to haunt him. He committed some terrible crimes all in the name of keeping the fact that he was more involved with Jason’s abductions, as well as Jason’s twin Drew Cain than he had led everyone to believe.
General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August Responsible For Drew Cain’s Death
He was responsible for Drew’s plane going down and for the hit put out on Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) and is currently responsible for framing Samantha McCall (Kelly Monaco) for Shiloh Archer’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) murder. Jason already knows that Peter is behind these crimes, but he doesn’t have the proof…yet.
But once Sam is acquitted, if Peter isn’t in jail, then look for Jason to take matters into his own hands. It won’t matter what Anna or Maxie want, Jason will have had enough. There is no way that Jason will let Peter live to hurt anyone else that he cares about. Peter will probably disappear forever.
Will Peter be arrested and go to jail for his many crimes? Or will Jason get the revenge he’s wanted for the past five years? Are Peter’s days numbered? I have found just about everything that they have been doing with Peter to be illogical in this effort to try to turn him into a possible big bad. Peter was going to give Drew the flash drive himself with the full knowledge that Drew more than likely would use it. Then suddenly Peter is so worried about a memory that Drew may or may not have of him being in charge of what happened with Jason and Drew that Peter needs to do something bad to Drew and Andre. Then Peter frames Sam when he knows that Jason is looking into his affairs. It is like they have put a neon sign on Peter telling Jason to come and take him down or kill him. I am hoping that they will do something to fix the mess that they have been making with Peter and put him back on a better path. They spent over a year on a redemption story with him that was working. I hope that Maxie and Anna will help Peter find his way out of this senseless mess. I also hope that Sam will be free soon because she should have gotten a medal for taking Shiloh down. I want Sam back with Jason and for them to be happy. It was wrong of Peter to keep Jason away but he could have killed him like Faison wanted. I keep hoping that there is something that is not known about this whole memory mapping mess with Jason, Drew, and Peter that has not come out yet. I had wanted Peter and Drew to be allies against Faison. I had also wanted Peter and Jason working together take down Shiloh but they did this instead.
My impression is that it takes about two months from when studio filming occurs to when the show is aired. Well, it’s been longer than that since the publicity about Finola Hughes back in the studio. Now the scuttlebutt is that Anna may not be back until December! Is Finola Hughes ill? I’m worried about her.
I agree – – this whole story line has turned stupidly sour!
I really like Peter and I like him being with Maxie. Why are there very few happy endings? There’s never closure. Willow and Chase. Michael and Sasha. Alexis and whoever. Finn and Hayden. Elisabeth and Franco. Even Valentin and Nina. It’s been a year or more for the baby issue to end. Really!!??
Yes please and NO ONE will miss this terrible character. Just discard it with the trash!
Louie your totally right Peter and Maxie are great together but we are talking about the writers then always want to bring stupid story lines to a show why turn Peter in to a bad guy dumb Peter start being a good guy in the beginning but now the killing the back stabbing really just make him like Ryan very stupid and sour story line and the baby issue now let couples be happy now poor Molly mom getting ill over the boy who rape her daughter she didn’t kill him on spite it was accidental get over it sis your drugging her for stupid reasons again dumb story lines Really!!
Peter and Maxie can come out of this mess together and be stronger than ever before they are so good together love them
