General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may or may not be plotting to bring about the downfall of Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). As many GH viewers may recall, Nelle dropped by Nina’s offices at Crimson and wormed her way into a job!

General Hospital Spoilers – Nelle Benson Takes Maxie’s Old Job

While many GH fans were unsurprised by the exit Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) made from Crimson after she learned she wouldn’t be getting a raise, they may have been utterly shocked by recent events in Nina’s offices.

As viewers may recall, Nina was busy freaking out while trying to find someone to fill Maxie Jones’s very large shoes. As the utterly panicked Nina whined on the phone and begged that whoever she was speaking with reach out to a contact in New York, Los Angeles, and Paris, who should walk in? That’s right, the dastardly Nelle Benson! Now, to her semi-credit, Nina immediately knew the right thing to do. She told Nelle in no uncertain terms to turn around and remove herself.

Of course, that didn’t stop Nelle. By now, many GH fans know and love the evilness that seems to embody Nelle. That and her wonderful ability to cry crocodile tears at the drop of a hat! In no time flat, it appeared that she had Nina eating from her hand.

First, she pretended to obey Nina and leave. However, this was a simple ruse. After (probably) sending Nina’s assistant home, Nelle made herself indispensable answering phones and taking Nina’s messages. She then presented all her good work to Nina in a not so very subtle effort to make herself appear wonderfully able to handle all the things Maxie used to do.

In the end, Nelle got what she wanted. Many GH fans may agree that for Nelle, this is simply par for the course!

GH Spoilers – Nelle Speaks Mom to Mom

Still, there are GH viewers asking themselves how Nelle, given everything Nina knows about her, could possibly get a job at Crimson at all? The truth is, Nelle, preyed upon Nina’s one, major weakness. Nelle knows about Nina’s longing for a child. Nelle knows the history behind Nina’s long lost child, whom Nina’s mother gave up for adoption. What better way to pull at Nina’s heartstrings than to emphasize her own supposed heartache over the loss of Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson)?

At first, GH viewers may have thought that Nina was going to do the right thing again and just call security. However, Nina caved to Nelle’s wiles and magic. One has to wonder if Nina is weak emotionally, mentally, or both. Because, it appeared that Nelle gave a sob story, a song, and dance, and with a bibbity bobbity boo, she was hired!

General Hospital Spoilers – Were Nina’s Actions a Ruse?

There may be one small rainbow on the horizon for GH viewers who hate Nelle, however. Fans might remember that Nina spent a little time in a reverie where she recalled a visit to her office by Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). During that visit, Willow practically begged Nina to run a full feature in Crimson detailing all the evils of which Nell is capable.

The question now is whether Nina hired Nelle simply out of motherly pity, or if she is trying to catch Nelle in some kind of slip up. Could Nina be acting like a spider to Nelle’s fly? Is Nina waiting for Nelle to make a mistake, which she can then exploit for the benefit of Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell)?

One thing is sure; one woman is definitely playing the other.
