General Hospital Spoilers: 3 People Who Could Have Given ‘GH’ Neil The Deadly Drugs

ABC General Hospital spoilers tease the startling reality that Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) had drugs in his system at the time of his untimely death, which ended up taking place in Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) bed. Ahem!

This raises several questions, namely why were the drugs in his body and who put them there. Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) broke the news to Alexis on a sizzling Friday cliffhanger episode. Alexis was shocked, but Jordan had her game face on meaning Alexis better have a good alibi!

Based on what we know today, there are three possible scenarios that could explain Neil’s bizarre and untimely death.

#1 Alexis Davis Poisoned Neil Byrne

Let’s face it, the term hot mess train wreck was invented for Alexis Davis. Her life has been full of ish since childhood. The Cassadine Curse envelops her wherever she goes. Neil apparently died after they had sex, with the general presumption being that his ticker gave out after Alexis put him through his paces.

There’s another possibility and that is that Alexis did kill him, again, not intentionally, but accidentally by drugging or poisoning him without meaning to do so. It happens.

#2 The Russian Mob Offed Neil Byrne

In the beginning, Alexis and Neil chatted about his fascination with Russian history. At the time fans thought this would lead back to her past in some way but nothing ever really came of the lead. Except that the Russians are not people to be trifled with. Could Neil have been caught up in some shenanigans, spy-wise or otherwise that culminated in his death?

His past was sketchy and he never really talked about it other than to say his daughter had a cult connection. Literally anyone could have had it out for Neil and took the perfect opportunity to make it look like someone else (Alexis) killed him.

#3 One Of His Former Patients Did The Deed

We know nothing about Neil’s other clients—the ones he saw before losing his license. The therapist-patient relationship is often fraught with high emotion and attachment, as fans saw happen with Alexis. Who’s to say there isn’t another Alexis-like patient out there who wanted Neil dead?

Someone who perhaps couldn’t stand the thought that she would never see Neil again, and detested the idea that Alexis would have him. Killing Neil and making it look like Alexis did it would be perfect revenge in this scenario.
