ABC General Hospital spoilers indicate that Port Charles is in need of a miracle, and it’s not the kind that Spinelli can whip up in a matter of seconds. With ratings slowly but surely headed towards a downward spiral, here are three ways that General Hospital writers can turn that around.

#1 Give Carly Corinthos A Hot, Salacious Affair

Yes, everyone loves to see Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) together. They are certainly a rock-solid couple. But at the same time, Sonny is certainly not giving Carly the attention she deserves while there are two men in Port Charles that are waiting in the wings for her: both Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Jasper Jacks. (Ingo Rademacher) The moment Carly pulls the plug on her marriage to Sonny, both Jason and Jax will be waiting in the wings for her and fans want to see it.

#2 Stop Dragging Out The Nelle Storyline

Elsewhere, General Hospital fans have made it pretty clear that they are just as tired of the Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) storyline as everyone else. We know that she is going to grab Wiley and take the next train out of Port Charles, so let her just do it already. Also, someone needs to let Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) be a man and take decisive action on his own. He’s someone who always ends up in the wrong relationships with the wrong people, with his mother Carly doing all of the damage control and work for him.

#3 Three Words: Bring Back Drew Cain

There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that ratings for General Hospital would certainly turn around if the writers decided to bring Drew Cain (Billy Miller) back. Even if actor Billy Miller is unavailable, the character could always be recast to someone else. Plus, the moment that Billy comes back, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will finally realize what she’s been missing out on and she drops the back-and-forth shenanigans with Jason Morgan.
