Now that General Hospital’s Valentin is running ELQ he cannot afford to be associated with Peter. Peter held Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) captive for five years. Jason already has issues with Valentin running his family-owned company and associating with Peter will make him more determined to see Valentin loses his position as CEO.
GH Spoilers – Valentin Helped Nelle Benson
General Hospital’s Valentin helped Nelle Jerome with fake passports. Valentin needs a fall guy and why not make it Peter. After all, Peter is out of control and making demands of Valentin. Valentin cannot let it be known that he helped Nelle because he will make more enemies than he can handle. Peter is the likely scapegoat and Valentin is not afraid to lay this all on him.
General Hospital Spoilers -Valentin Cassadine Wants To Impress Nina Reeves

General Hospital’s Valentin still wants Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) back. Valentin cannot afford to let Nina find out that he helped Nelle. Peter would be the perfect person to blame and if Valentin turned him in, he would make brownie points with Nina for doing the right thing. Valentin would do anything to get Nina back so this would help with his goal. Peter knows that Valentin recently had dealings with Nelle so he could silence Peter as well.
GH Spoilers – Maxie Jones Could Be In Danger
General Hospital’s Valentin knows how dangerous that Peter can be. Valentin knows that Peter can be very dangerous and Nina would never forgive him if he could keep Maxie safe and doesn’t. Valentin is working with Maxie at Deception and knows about this baby. Peter could turn on Maxie at any time and hold her captive or anything. Peter is too much like his father for Maxie to be safe with him and Valentin knows it. Valentin may see allowing Peter to raise his child the same as letting Faison raise Peter.

General Hospital’s Valentin has urged Peter to come clean but he has refused time and again. Valentin knows how much he has hurt his family by his secrets and lies. Valentin has seen his daughter follow in his footsteps and stepped back to keep that from happening. Perhaps Valentin knows this is the only way to keep another child from becoming the victim of a sociopathic father.
Whatever the reason is, Valentin turning Peter in is the best and fastest way to bring Peter to justice.

Peter is one of the few people that Valentin cares about. The only other ones that Valentin cares about as much are Nina and Charlotte. Valentin has practically been a father to Peter and he knows what Peter went through as a child with Faison. Peter may have a dark side but he is no threat to Maxie, James,Georgie, or his baby. Valentin has his own dark side. Nina spent a long time where she did not forgive Valentin for giving Peter to Faison. Nina also helped Liesl when she kidnapped Peter and Peter protected Nina. Nelle does not mean anything to Valentin. Even if Nelle is Nina's daughter that does not mean that Valentin would chose her over Peter. Valentin cares about Anna and she has asked Valentin to help her with Alex to protect Peter. I believe that Valentin will help to save both Peter and Anna from Alex and anyone else who might come after them. I believe that Valentin will use the power he has at ELQ to do it. I believe that helping Anna and Peter will help Valentin in the end.
I think Valentin is trying to get people off his back peter has some enemies including jasam and Robert I don’t think Valentin want trouble with them that’s why Valentin feel it might be time to cut peter loose even he was the one who gave peter to his father Faison some people are after peter not just Robert but Spinelli jasam is too
Peter has had the chance to turn his life around but he continues to dig himself in deeper. I don't think Valentin owes him anymore.
Valentin has made many mistakes and has kept trying to come back from them. Peter is like a son to him. He has been there for Peter ever since he was child even going to his school functions. He was the one who taught him to be ruthless to keep one step ahead of those who might come after him. I do not believe that Valentin would turn his back on Peter just because he is in trouble.
I believe that even though Valentin has been trying to distance himself from his past that he would want the same for Peter especially since Peter is about to become a father. Peter may have some enemies but I think that Valentin could handle Robert, Spinelli, Jason, and Sam. Valentin is the CEO of ELQ now which means that he has control of Jason's family's business he could use that as a way to get Jason, Sam, and Spinelli off of Peter's back. I think that he could deal with Robert in someway too.
