ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has been covering for Peter August for years. Valentin feels bad about the way Peter was raised because he is responsible for Peter being placed with Ceasar Faison (Anders Hove). However, Peter has made some enemies that Valentin doesn’t want to have and it’s time to cut ties.

General Hospital’s Valentin helped Nelle Jerome with fake passports. Valentin needs a fall guy and why not make it Peter. After all, Peter is out of control and making demands of Valentin. Valentin cannot let it be known that he helped Nelle because he will make more enemies than he can handle. Peter is the likely scapegoat and Valentin is not afraid to lay this all on him.

General Hospital  Spoilers -Valentin Cassadine Wants To Impress Nina Reeves

General Hospital’s Valentin still wants Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) back. Valentin cannot afford to let Nina find out that he helped Nelle. Peter would be the perfect person to blame and if Valentin turned him in, he would make brownie points with Nina for doing the right thing. Valentin would do anything to get Nina back so this would help with his goal. Peter knows that Valentin recently had dealings with Nelle so he could silence Peter as well.

General Hospital’s Valentin knows how dangerous that Peter can be. Valentin knows that Peter can be very dangerous and Nina would never forgive him if he could keep Maxie safe and doesn’t. Valentin is working with Maxie at Deception and knows about this baby. Peter could turn on Maxie at any time and hold her captive or anything. Peter is too much like his father for Maxie to be safe with him and Valentin knows it. Valentin may see allowing Peter to raise his child the same as letting Faison raise Peter.

General Hospital’s Valentin has urged Peter to come clean but he has refused time and again. Valentin knows how much he has hurt his family by his secrets and lies. Valentin has seen his daughter follow in his footsteps and stepped back to keep that from happening. Perhaps Valentin knows this is the only way to keep another child from becoming the victim of a sociopathic father.

Whatever the reason is, Valentin turning Peter in is the best and fastest way to bring Peter to justice.
