General Hospital Spoilers: 5 Things To Know About GH Jackie Templeton

ABC General Hospital spoilers reveal that Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) has let the cat out of the bag and revealed that Kim Delaney is coming on board to play the character Jackie Templeton, a blast from the GH past.

It makes sense since last week cub reporter Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) made a big deal out of asking her boss to let her get in contact with a big-time journalist from the Pacific Northwest. Her request is part of a plan to get the goods on Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Here are five things you need to know about Jackie Templeton.

#1 An A-list Actress Debuted In The Role

Jackie Templeton was portrayed by Demi Moore from 1982 until 1984. After her GH stint, Moore went on to fame as a member of the Brat Pack with roles in Blame It on Rio (1984), St. Elmo’s Fire (1985), and About Last Night… (1986). Her film credits include Ghost (1990), A Few Good Men (1992), Indecent Proposal (1993), and Disclosure (1994).

The character of Jackie Templeton came on the canvas after Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) connected with her to try and find Laura Spencer (Genie Francis).

#2 Jackie Templeton Was Not Originally From The Pacific Northwest

Jackie Templeton was a take no prisoners type of journalist. She was from New York City, however, not the Pacific Northwest. Maybe Jackie retired there after a lifetime of investigative journalism?

#3 Jackie Templeton And Robert Scorpio Were Almost A Serious Thing

Luke and Jackie did some sleuthing in their bid to find Laura and they grew closer. But Jackie grew even closer to Robert Scorpio. When the chaos simmered down Robert told Jackie that he had fallen hard for her. She decided to stay in Port Charles and went to work at the Port Charles Herald.

#4 Jackie Templeton Lost Out On Robert Scorpio To Holly Sutton

Jackie and Robert’s romance was rocked by the appearance of Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) however. Ironically Emma Samms was just seen onscreen as Holly, but we don’t yet know if she will be back and if so for how long, since she has been battling COVID.

#5 Jackie Templeton’s Sister Was Laura Templeton

Jackie’s sister Laura Templeton was portrayed by another A-list actress, Janine Turner. During her run on GH, Laura Templeton dated Blackie Parrish (John Stamos) and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).

Laura left town in 1983 and Jackie left in 1984.
