Alexis knows that the secrets that Shiloh uses for trust pledges have to be damaging to the initiant or to someone in the initiant’s family, but she has been assuming it would be about Sonny, since Sonny has worse (illegal) things to hide.
Alexis will be blindsided once she finds out that the pledge secret was about her, and even though the secret Kristina gave wasn’t anything that she could be legally prosecuted for, it spoke volumes about how much Kristina wanted to get back at Alexis and hurt her at the time when she gave the secret. She just doesn’t think of herself as that bad of a mother! Alexis will portray to Kristina all loving and supportive, understanding mother, but she’ll be ripped apart inside thinking about how angry Kristina must have been at her to give that information!
This is why Kristina didn’t really want to have to tell Alexis; she knew it would hurt her and of course she didn’t want to admit how much she hated her mom when she gave it. Dr. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) was absolutely correct in saying that Kristina has a lot more work to do, and in fact, Alexis, Sonny, and Kristina need family counseling to overcome this anger and hurt in Kristina.
Just when Kristina has seen some hope of love and acceptance from Alexis, she doesn’t want to tear down any progress that they have made, and yet she has to tell this secret so if it were something that could have legal consequences, a game plan can be made to counteract the harmful effects and the leverage Shiloh might think that he has.
General Hospital viewers saw the pledge, which was Kristina telling that Alexis ran over Kiefer Bauer (Christian Alexander) on purpose and killed him while she was injured and laying in the back seat; but the intent was to make Alexis appear as ugly and vengeful as possible at the time Kristina gave the secret, when in actuality Alexis was really rushing a severely injured Kristina to the hospital and ran over him out of being too upset to drive. Kiefer was the one who beat up Kristina to begin with, and while Alexis probably should have called 911 and the police, she was frantic to get Kristina to the hospital in time to save her life.
Perhaps if Neil can help Kristina and Alexis both see and understand their points of view and why they acted as they did, some healing can happen between the two. Stay tuned to General Hospital and keep checking General Hospital spoilers frequently for all the latest news, updates and developments!
As always, more detailed spoilers and a full collection of pictures for the week in question will appear on Celebrating The Soaps, where there will be more clues and hints over exactly what’s going on.
Alexis may be devastated that her daughter would disclose something of that matter, when in actuality she was rushing her child to the hospital and was highly upset but she would eventuality forgive her because after all this is her child.
The character of Kristina is a miserable, nasty, selfish, useless, waste of budget dollars. She has no purpose, never has, never will. Send her away on a lengthy trip of self discovery and make sure she never makes the return trip back to PC.
She is hell of a lot better than stupid Sam with no character nothing not worth the air time
Yes , but it will take some time!!!
Knowing the situation between she and Kristina and the circumstances under which Kristina made the pledge she should be heart broken, but understandable. Her reactions could have a definite effect on how Kristina continues with her treatment. Alexis wasn’t so worried when it was felt that Kristina’s pledge was about Sonny, and even Sonny though was concerned he didn’t go through the anger it seems Alexis will. Forget about what was on the pledge, the pledge is burned, and the betrayal like all things in family can be forgiven but not forgotten. At this point Kristina needs all of her family members to help in her healing process and most of all her mother. Allow Alexis to have some sense in this matter, after all she is an attorney and a pledge gotten by Shiloh, shouldn’t have much standing in a court of law. But, as reality being rewritten here, of course Alexis may have to hire Diane to get her out of a jam.
