General Hospital: Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan)General Hospital (GH) spoilers revealed that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) met up with Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) at the Metro Court (popular place, eh?) where Neil subtly gave off an angry vibe. In fact, after a while, Neil admitted that he was angry both with himself and with Alexis. GH fans know it was probably only a matter of time.

General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis Can’t Help Herself

GH fans know that apparently, Alexis just couldn’t help herself when it came to her attraction for Dr. Neil Byrne. It seemed like coincidence after coincidence or fate itself that kept bringing Alexis into contact with Neil. From a bingo game where they kissed for the first time, to a night at the opera, to the nightcap and mad lovemaking session that followed, Alexis and Neil never intentionally pursued any of it! Yet, something kept bringing Neil and Alexis together.

Many GH fans might agree that when the stars continually seem to align, there is little reason to fight the urges that may rage within. That was apparently true for both Alexis and Neil despite the obstacles thrown in their respective paths. For Neil, especially the consequences of an affair with Alexis were dire. Some are now asking whether Neil’s choice to pursue Alexis anyway was brave … or foolish in the extreme.

GH Spoilers – Alexis Davis Lies To The Board

By now, every GH fan who’s been keeping up with recent developments knows that Neil risked losing his ability to practice psychiatry in New York. His entire affair with Alexis was forbidden because she used to be one of his patients. Now, for those who don’t know, it’s illegal for a psychiatrist like Neil to date a patient.

That’s because there have been unscrupulous psychiatrists in the past who have used their position of authority and trust to take advantage of emotionally and mentally disturbed clients. There are rules that someone must not have been a patient for at least two years before any kind of relationship is allowed to develop between former a former patient and doctors like Alexis and Neil.

With that said, Alexis and Neil broke the rules. It hadn’t been two years since Alexis stopped seeing Neil as her therapist. Yet Alexis and Neil couldn’t deny the attraction that existed between them … and they acted on it. Of course, Alexis and Neil did what they could to keep their physical activity a secret, but eventually, someone reported them to the Medical Ethics Board.

Viewers know that Alexis eventually perjured herself and lied on Neil’s behalf. Neil was ambiguous about the lie … but he let it stand for the time being. For the moment, Neil’s career was safe.

General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis Confessed

GH viewers also know that it wasn’t long after that Alexis confessed to the fact that she had slept with Neil. During a car ride home, which her ex-husband, Julian Jerome (William deVry) gave her because she had downed a shot of vodka, Alexis divulged that she’d slept with her former therapist. Of course, this enraged Julian.

It wasn’t so much that Alexis had slept with someone (after all that was none of Julian’s business) it was that he felt Neil had taken advantage of someone he still cared for. GH fans know that Julian then confronted Neil and made a big scene … and Julian was so loud that everyone heard that Neil and Alexis had slept together.

When all was said and done, Neil faced the music. His medical license was revoked … and he told Alexis when he met with her that the last few weeks had been crazy. Neil also let Alexis know that he was angry with them both.

Now, some GH fans are wondering about which things Neil is angry about. Does Neil regret his night with Alexis? Or, is Neil upset that his career didn’t end sooner so that he could pursue his new love interest-free of the prying eyes of the state?

      I think it’s too soon to tell — I can see Alexis and Valentin as a couple ahead in the plan, they are becoming close friends! Odder couple than most but he seems to be in the process of being redeemed.
