Viewers will remember the startling moment when Sam tragically lost her life in the episode aired on Wednesday, October 30. While fans had anticipated her fate, the manner of her passing took everyone by surprise, especially since she had just come out of a successful transplant surgery.

Moments before the doctors rushed into her room, Sam was in high spirits, laughing and celebrating with her mother, Alexis, and it seemed like a smooth recovery was on the horizon.

Just before the chaos unfolded, she had shared the exhilarating news that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had proposed. With everything seemingly going well for Sam, her sudden departure left hearts shattered.

In a tense moment at the hospital’s waiting area, Alexis told  Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and observed how Sam’s condition shifted dramatically; one moment she radiated vitality, then,  she turned pale.

Meanwhile, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) hurried into Sam’s room to assist Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) in reviving her.

In the meantime, Jason had wisely sent Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzn) to Bobbie’s with Emily “Scout” Cain (Cosette Abinante) they had been waiting to see their mom. 

Despite their frantic efforts, including numerous chest compressions, Lucas ultimately had to announce Sam’s death at 5:48 p.m., after a grueling 30 minutes of attempts.

Recently, a leak on the social media platform X hinted Sam’s tragic fate would be sealed by an IV poisoning orchestrated by Cyrus, by digitalis, also known as foxglove poisoning.

He’s unpredictable in every sense, and even though he claims to have ‘found God,’ it’s entirely plausible that he could be linked to both Lulu’s ventilator troubles and Sam’s demise.

There’s a possibility of a storyline brewing about a hospital killer acting as an “angel of mercy,” but the twist is that Sam wasn’t a terminal patient. What if General Hospital has opted to alter the circumstances surrounding Sam’s death due to the social media leak?

GH Spoilers – Could The Candy Alexis Brought Be Poisoned?

The Halloween celebration episode in Port Charles saw Alexis surprising Sam with some delightful candy treats.

The two women chatted about making sure Dante had plenty of sweets to distribute to the neighborhood kids, with Alexis reassuring Sam that she had also picked up some boxes. 

As she handed over the candy, Alexis playfully mentioned that she had “sneaked it past” the nurses, hinting that Sam might have been restricted from sugar or food after her surgery.

Additionally, Alexis informed Jason that they were indulging in the candy, suggesting a potential storyline twist-although Alexis herself didn’t seem to be suffering ill effects.

Could it be that the candy was the culprit that caused Sam’s system to go into shock, and if it was intentional, how could the killer isolate the candy given Sam?

This heated exchange could imply that Alexis may play a pivotal role in the circumstances surrounding her daughter’s death, setting the stage for a captivating twist-or be framed!

Spoilers indicate that the upcoming weeks in Port Charles will be filled with intense emotions as characters grapple with the mystery of what happened.

This, all while dealing with the profound grief of losing a daughter, mother, friend, and loved one. Alexis just was exonerated of a  murder and has been dealing with trying to broker peace between her younger daughters and supporting Sam in her transplant procedure.
