General Hospital Spoilers reveal that former star, Sarah Joy Brown, played Carly Spencer for five years before leaving GH in 2001.

However, Sarah later returned in 2008 to play Claudia Zacchara, who would end up marrying Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as well.

Sarah has stayed close to Maurice even after leaving the show. Sarah as recently a guest on Maurice’s podcast, State Of Mind, where she opened up about her horrifying sexual assault and how is affected her life.

Genera Hospital Spoilers indicate that Maurice often discusses difficult topics on his podcast that affect people’s lives. Sarah refers to this as what “blew up her life.”

Maurice invented this platform for people to open up about their mental health issues. Maurice has bipolar disorder himself that almost cost his job years ago.

Why did Sarah Joy Brown want to be on this portal and what message does she want to get across to the viewers? “Listen, I’m gonna tell you things, I can already feel that it’s gonna be super hard for me to talk about…. Wow, something happened in 2016, and it blew up my life, and I really struggled with my mental health as a result of it for years, horrible isolation,” Brown said.

Although Maurice assured Sarah that they didn’t have to talk about this, she wanted to discuss it. Brown says this is happening to men and women at an alarming rate and something has to be done.

Brown reveals that she was raped in 2016 and that mentally, she still struggles with this today. Brown says she was at a bar in Brooklyn, New York waiting for a friend when a man offered her a drink and she reluctantly accepted.

Brown says the next thing she remembers is waking up in a strange room wearing strange clothes. She says she was in the room with a 30 something year old man and was wearing his girlfriends clothes. The man claimed that Sarah had asked for help the night before.

Sarah called a cab to leave but was then sent by Uber to a different location. Later, it was confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted by a private doctor.

General Hospital Spoilers – Sarah Joy Brown Was Denied Justice

Although Sarah immediately filed a report with the Brooklyn division of the NYPD. However, when Brown followed up on her case she discovered a shocking turn of events that made it impossible to get justice. The DA had lost her case along with the cop putting the wrong date on the report. With other errors as well, it made it impossible to get justice.

Although Sarah didn’t get justice against her rapist, she is working on an app that could help others. Sarah didn’t give any details on her project but she hopes this will help others avoid the problem she ran into after her assault. Can Sarah help other women to get justice for themselves?
