General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that on January 28, Vanessa Marcil took to Instagram to talk about the autobiography she’s writing. The alum and Emmy winner said she was “writing behind-the-scenes Brenda experiences. Stuff that I’ve never discussed before” referring to her onscreen character Brenda Barrett.

She added “Just a reminder of how much I love Maurice Benard and what truly happened personally for me while working with him.”

It’s good to know she’s writing a bio and no doubt fans will buy it in droves. But things took a turn when a fan, lsok814, asked her to return to Port Charles. In response she said, “OK” with a fire emoji. And that was enough to get the rumor mill churning.

Then Spicebrownsugar said “We need you to come on General Hospital” to which Marcil replied “OK Done.” Now the rumor mill was lit.

Let’s unpack this exchange—could the former GH actress be signaling a return? It’s impossible to say definitively based on the questions and subsequent answers.

What we can say is that based on current events, now would be an excellent time for Brenda to make a comeback.

And let’s not forget that last year in a live chat with fans, she promised that “It’ll happen eventually….”

General Hospital Spoilers – Is Brenda Marcil Coming Back To GH?

She added “the fact that Maurice is always still there, you know, makes it a no-brainer because I couldn’t go back and work opposite a Sonny recast or some of these crazy things that happened to some characters.”

Marcil debuted in the role of Brenda in 1992 and was last seen in 2013. Since her departure her fans have not stopped hoping that the one-of-a-kind actress returns to PC.

When Brenda left Port Charles, she asked Sonny to go to Rome with her but he didn’t think the time was right for him to exit PC.

Everything has changed since then! Sonny’s latest wife, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has just been exposed as a liar and the pair are estranged.

In fact he’s cooped up with his baby mamma Ava Jerome (Maura West) as a security precaution and fans think it’s just a matter of time before they hook up.
