Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that Alan faked his death and traveled to the area of Pautauk, New York. Alan went by the name of Simon Alexander but later during his time there, before Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) tracked him down and brought him back to Port Charles, he actually did get amnesia. But when he first showed up in Pautauk as Simon, he became involved with Charity Gatlin (Gloria Carlin).

Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that a little bit later, Charity and Jimmy Lee Holt, (Steve Bond) Alan’s half-brother got married. Alan as Simon would have had the affair with Charity in 1986, while AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) were children. It is possible that if Austin is not Jimmy Lee’s son, he may be Alan’s son with Charity. Jimmy Lee was cut out of Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingles) will, but before becoming involved with Charity, he also had a short marriage to Celia Quartermaine (Sherlyn Wolter) from 1985-1986.

However, Celia would not have been in Edward’s will, as she was not one of his children, although she was the daughter of Quentin Quartermaine (Allan Miller) who was the son of Edward’s first cousin Herbert Quartermaine (Will B. Hunt). That makes Celia Edward’s second cousin. But if Charity and Alan had a son, and this is who Austin is, he would be a half-brother to AJ, Jason, and Drew Cain (most recently Billy Miller). A son of Alan would be more entitled to Quartermaine money than a son of a half-brother who was cut out of Edward’s will and possibly also the child of a second cousin!

GH Spoilers And Rumors – Austin Is Definitely Interested In The Quartermaine Family

General Hospital viewers will also recall from recent episodes of General Hospital that Austin has definitely stated his interest in the Quartermaine family! He hired Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to find out more about them, and wanted to know more about Jason Morgan and Michael Corinthos.

In Michael’s case, he wanted to know why he goes by Corinthos instead of Quartermaine, and it could be a similar interest concerning Jason. Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that Jason took Lila Morgan Quartermaine’s (Anna Lee) maiden name after he suffered his traumatic brain injury, sustained after trying to stop AJ from driving drunk. The brain injury changed Jason from a med student following in Alan’s footsteps to a hit man for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and he wanted at the time to disassociate himself from all things Quartermaine.

As for Michael, of course his name is Corinthos because of being adopted by Sonny, although a few years ago he did go by Quartermaine until he forgave Sonny for shooting AJ, which led to his death. Austin also goes to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) with questions about Michael and the Corinthos wing at General Hospital. Austin obviously knows more about his family than he lets on so far, and all may be revealed in future episodes, including that Alan was his birth father!
