Shortly after her explosive screaming match with Jordan, Molly took off angrier than she’s probably been in the eight-years she’s dated TJ. GH fans may have felt a bit bad for Molly knowing what kind of emotional torment she’s been going through. Well, due to that trauma, Molly wasn’t paying attention to exactly where or how she was driving and essentially wrecked her car. Although not badly damaged, Molly decided she better get help.

Whose car garage just “happened” to be close by? That would be Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage, of course. In a slightly awkward moment, Molly burst in on Brando and proceeded to act disoriented and honestly, like a bit of a ditz. No matter! Apparently, Brando is like many men who have “white knight syndrome.” The sight of a woman in distress brings out protective tendencies. As GH fans know, Brando proceeded to save Molly’s day (and her car).

Now, Molly herself admitted that she could have simply called a tow-truck. Why didn’t she? Well, again, Brando’s garage was just “right there.” Why pay for a tow-truck when a competent mechanic was just right around the corner? (Hey, there is some logic to that.) In any case, while Brando could have turned her away, he didn’t. Brando also made sure Molly knew that he wasn’t going to take advantage of her, the gentleman that he is.

GH fans then watched as Molly and Brando flirted back and forth, with Brando expressing how impressed he was that Molly is both a published author and a law student. Brando, of course, is just a lowly mechanic. Obviously, this is a romantic setup between Molly, who is a white-collar wannabe and Brando, who is a blue-collar man! Could there be shades of rich-girl, poor-guy – Romeo and Juliet tropes at play here?

GH viewers know that if Molly and Brando end up having a thing for each other, their romance might be doomed before it even begins. That’s because Molly’s dad is Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). Ric is Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard), half-brother! In other words, Molly is Sonny’s niece.

Brando, on the other hand, is related to Sonny’s dad, Mike Corbin (Max Gail). While it may not be exactly “kissing cousins” territory, a romance between Molly and Brando could still be awkward. In any case, GH fans have to be asking themselves how much more distress Molly can take. How awful would it be to lose one’s relationship of eight years only to find that the new love interest is a member of one’s own family? Besides, isn’t Brando too old for Molly?
