General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the Twitterverse is awash in rumors about William Lipton’s (Cam Webber) contract status after the Friday, March 5 credit list ws observed to have omitted his name.
An observant GH fan tweeted that Lipton’s name was not on the credit scroll indicating he is no longer on contract. Now rumors are spreading like wildfire about a possible departure as well as a possible reason for a departure.
Keep in mind that at this time all of this is speculation and neither the show nor the actor have made an official comment.

Tweets flew fast and furious speculating as to what is going on. Perhaps the actor is leaving to go to college, as is his character Cam Webber?
In that case fans would expect to see him every now and then under normal circumstances, maybe for the holidays, on birthdays, etc.

GH spoilers – Why Is William Lipton’s Name Missing From The Credits?
Then again the character could be recast, for whatever reason. Sometimes TPTB use the line that they want to take the character in a “different direction” thus justifying a sudden casting change.
Then again, it’s not like Cam is not in danger—he is. He is in danger from his stepfather Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). Ironically, Howarth’s status with the show is also trending.
General Hospital spoilers – What Happens Next In Port Charles?
Franco’s tumor seems to have now transformed him back into a psycho killer as fans saw him take a crow bar to Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) head on a spectacular Friday Cliffhanger. There are rumblings that Franco is about to meet his maker, and in fact he prearranged a deal with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to whack him if he starts to show signs of going over the edge. Conking Peter in a stairwell probably qualifies.
But earlier Franco nearly attacked Cam at home. It was a close call, and just a blip, but could Cam’s life truly be in danger at this time?
We shudder to think of Cam meeting an unfortunate end. It seems even harder to fathom that somehow Franco would harm Cam. But until we get official word on what is going on all we can do is speculate.

They are taking away al of our favorites, very few of them left. Soon there will be no reason to watch. They never did dwell on Franco's art therapy. There were so many stories they could have done about how Franco helped those in need with his therapy. Guess the writers don't have much imagination. Just the same old, same old. Kill off the favorites to what save money? How much money are they going to make when fans stop watching?

Best actor who has ever been on the show. Just think how his talent will grow over the years! I would stop watching, I hate the stupid jail story, and they broke up Anna and Finn. I love Cameron Mathison, though, and he has been cast on GH. Will give him a chance to save the show. Whatever William Lipton chooses to do, I will always be a fan. His musical talent is phenomenal!
