General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that viewers will soon discover the identity of Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) child.

GH fans have been getting hints that something interesting this way comes ever since we last saw Nina in her office at Crimson toying with her heart-shaped, half-locket.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Reeves longs for her lost child

It’s obvious that Nina longs and aches for the child she had but lost. Her ex-husband, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) actually took advantage of that longing and paid Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to pretend to be Nina’s long lost daughter. Everyone by now knows the heartache and sorrow that deception caused. In fact, the way the secret came out was heart-wrenching for many GH viewers!

Those who have been watching a long time may recall that Nina was actually marring Valentin for a second time when it was brutally revealed at the wedding that Sasha wasn’t really Nina’s daughter. When Nina pitifully looked to Sasha in disbelief, Sasha came clean in order to soothe her guilty conscience.

GH Spoilers – Who is Nina Reeves’ lost child

Now, because it looks like Nina is in the middle of reminiscing, wishing, hoping, for her real child to be restored to her, everyone is speculating about which young woman in her twenties just might be the real deal.

For example, legitimate questions swirl around at least three well-known GH characters. The first of these, rather sickeningly, is Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). Imagine the horror of discovering that your only child lived and turned out to be a psychopathic liar, murderer, kidnapper, and all-around criminal! No sympathetic viewer wants that to be the case.

Then, there’s Sasha. While she, herself, believes that any connection to Nina was simply an act of fraud, what if it’s not? That might sound a bit off the wall, but there are some things to consider. First, there were genetic tests that confirmed a biological connection between these two women. Might additional tests continue to confirm that they share DNA?

A lot of fans also wish Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) might be Nina’s daughter. Although there hasn’t been a lot of evidence to support this theory, the two women have had personality clashes and fight the way many mothers and daughters do. Further, Willow was one of the first people that Valentin and Nina interviewed to be a nanny. Could Valentin have known something at the time?

With that said, there is an option most GH fans don’t even think about!

What if Nina’s child was male? What if Nina’s mom, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) actually lied about the sex of the baby when she confessed to Valentin the story of how she’d given the baby up for adoption? Of course, one might ask about Madeline’s motives in leaving details out, or in changing details when divulging her narrative to the evil Cassadine.

GH Spoilers – Could Nina Reeves’s child be a boy?

Regardless, if Madeline had the gall to try and make Nina have a miscarriage in the first place, and then put the child up for adoption when that plan didn’t work out the way she’d wanted, it’s not a far stretch to believe she’d also concoct lies surrounding that entire bit of drama!

But, if she lied and the child is actually a boy, which GH character in his mid-twenties might be the most likely candidate? It’s an interesting question that may soon be resolved. Until it is though, fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for future clues and revelations!
