General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that the Port Charles, NY Invader may have an ownership change in the coming days. As viewers know, Peter August (Wes Ramsey), the current owner of the newspaper, may soon find himself paying for all of his criminal activities. But if that comes to pass, what will happen to the Invader? It seems likely that a newly returned Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) may just take over where Peter leaves off. But what would make Jackie decide to settle back down in Port Charles? Let’s take a look at some of the options!
General Hospital Spoilers – Opportunity knocks!
The easiest answer is that Jackie (Kim Delaney) may see an opportunity when and if Peter (Wes Ramsey) goes down. She has made a name for herself as a hard-hitting journalist. So what is there left for her to do? Running an entire newspaper would certainly check that box. And Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) apparently also on her way out of town, Port Charles will need a journalist. And it doesn’t hurt that Jackie has several connections in Port Charles, including her son, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
GH Spoilers – Support for Chase!
Chase’s life is currently going through some upheavals. He recently faked an affair with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) in order to get girlfriend Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to marry Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Letting Willow go has been extremely hard for Chase he could certainly use his mother’s support. This might very well lead to Jackie deciding to settle in Port Charles once again!
General Hospital Spoilers – Robert Scorpio – Is There Unfinished Business There.
Decades ago, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Jackie were an item. If Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) hadn’t entered the picture, it’s quite likely Robert and Jackie would still be together. Although they seem to be just friends at this point, is it possible those old feelings could come rushing back. Although Jackie is currently married to Chase’s father, that doesn’t mean she will be able to resist rekindling the flame with Robert. Or with someone else…
GH Spoilers – Hamilton Finn And Jackie Also Have A Past
Jackie was also once involved with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), and the two of them slept together the night before she married Finn’s own father. To say their relationship is complicated would be an understatement. There could still be feeling there, and perhaps history might repeat itself. All in all, there are quite a few reasons Jackie may decide to remain in Port Charles and take over the Invader.

I do not want Jackie to take over the Invader. I think that she can be a reporter for the Invader. However the Invader was transformed from a tabloid to a real newspaper by Peter. I believe that Jackie likes to report on the news and not be the one to run the paper herself. I believe that it is best for Peter to run the paper. I will miss Lulu. It would have been great for Lulu and Jackie to be Peter's top reporters. I hope that Jackie can somehow help to clear Peter in some way. I think that she can stay to be there for Chase. Jackie, Finn, Gregory, and Violet could come together as family. I do not think that Robert and Jackie will become a couple because she is married to Gregory. I think that she might need to help out the situation with Finn because of what is happening with Alex, Anna, and Valentin.
