General Hospital viewers have suspected that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) might be Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) secret daughter! She was adopted, and lived in Europe, and General Hospital viewers will recall when Ryan showed up alive after twenty-five years that he’d been an operative with the DVX in Europe! They had apparently grabbed him and nursed him back to health after the funhouse explosion in Canada that was thought to have taken his life, and when he suffered a severe break with reality, they contacted his twin Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).

If Kevin didn’t take him they were going to kill him, and Kevin had misplaced mercy on his brother! When Esme came to Spring Ridge on the first day of her internship, she made a beeline to Ryan as soon as there was privacy, patted his hand and promised to help him! She called him by his first name, but if someone had overheard, it definitely would have been inappropriate to call him “dad”!

General Hospital viewers will recall that when Ryan was wheeled out of his General Hospital room to be taken at that time back to Pentonville Prison, he smirked! This was after Ava Cassadine (Maura West) had tested him by pinching his hand till she almost made him bleed with her nails! Ryan didn’t flinch, but viewers must remember, this is a man who cut off one of his hands when he was on the run in Canada, to throw authorities off the trail and presume him dead!

He may have also been trained to resist feeling pain during his years with the DVX, as General Hospital viewers will recall Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) also was in his training as a Navy Seal. If Ryan truly has locked-in syndrome, he would be able to blink his eyes but likely would not be able to make that smirk! Some sufferers cannot even breathe and must be put on life support!

General Hospital viewers have noted that same creepy vibe in Esme as in Ryan – and who else could turn up in Port Charles that could be a serial killer? General Hospital viewers will recall that there have been others who have murdered more than one person over the years, but none would be considered a serial killer like Ryan once was! Esme definitely has the makings – the obsession over Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and the insane jealousy over him regarding his friendship with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).

Viewers will recall she became so angry confronting Trina at the Jerome Art Gallery that she dug into her hand and made herself bleed – and like Ryan, didn’t even flinch! General Hospital viewers will remember Ryan’s obsession with Ava – and now Ava is married to Spencer’s father, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) in spite of Spencer and Esme’s efforts to break them up! Ryan is likely still obsessed with Ava and would like to get rid of Nikolas – and Esme’s involved with his son. How many people will die and who will they be if Ryan or Esme is the serial killer who strikes, or will they be a father and daughter tag team committing murder and mayhem?
