ABC General Hospital spoilers and rumors reveal Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) may not be a Cassadine, but instead … a Quartermaine. GH Fans know that Valentin recently discovered to his horror that the Cassadine bloodline and legacy were not his own.
Causing an identity crisis for Valentin, the situation demanded that he take over ELQ as soon as possible. How ironic would it be that a long lost Quartermaine family member is now scheming to take the family business without realizing he may actually already have a hidden stake?
General Hospital Spoilers – Helena Cassadine Ditches Valentin Casadine
Long-time fans of General Hospital know that Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers), evil witch that she was, sent Valentin away as a child. She sent Valentin away. She forgot Valentin. Yet, GH viewers know that for all that time, Valentin comforted himself with the knowledge that he had the Cassadine name, he had the bloodline, he had the legacy.
It’s obvious that Valentin grew up with a grudge against his mother. In fact, fans know that Helena was terrified of Valentin, and for good reason. Valentin was in the business of revenge and ensuring that everyone knew he had been wronged throughout his life.
Tragic then, many feel, that Valentin should discover that his DNA didn’t match that of his erstwhile sister, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
GH Spoilers – Edward Cassadine Is Helena Cassadine ’s Baby Daddy
One thing many GH fans may wish to consider is the fact that Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle) is known to have slept around on his wife, Lila Quartermaine (Anna Lee). Some GH fans believe that it’s entirely possible that Helena Cassadine, may have had a brief affair with Edward. While there were moments when Helena feuded with the Quartermaines, fans know it was nothing compared to her hatred for the Spencer family.
Obviously a bastard, some believe that the actual reason Helena sent Valentin away was due to the fact that he was the son of Edward Quartermaine. How could she allow Valentin to share in the family and childhood of his Cassadine half-siblings? Helena simply could never let that happen. Helena also had to keep the knowledge of Valentin’s true heritage a secret, even from him … lest the truth of her affair with Edward is made public.

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Has No One
The truth of the matter is that whether the theory that Valentin is the bastard child of Edward Quartermaine and Helena Cassadine is true or not, Valentin might as well be an orphan. Even if it came out that he carries the blood of the Quartermaines in his veins, it won’t matter.
Valentin is on a path to seizing ELQ from the Quartermaine family. Valentin is not well-loved by many who know him. It’s therefore not likely that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), or any of the rest will welcome Valentin into the fold with open arms.
Fans of Valentin can rest easy though. As Valentin told Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight), “I am resilient. I am also a solvent. I have plenty of my own money in offshore accounts aside from the Cassadine estate.”
Valentin can make a name for himself. He doesn’t need the Cassadine or Quartermaine surnames to accomplish that.

I do think that it is possible that Valentin is Helena and Edward’s son. I think that it would be a good twist because Valentin is trying to get into ELQ. The Quartermaine family might need someone like Valentin to take care of ELQ if Cyrus decides to come after the company or Michael and Wiley.
really
Don”t think it is impossible. Val wouldn’t be the first to show up as a Q from no where. Edward had a straying eye that produced children. If this is brought to fruition,, it would explain why Val is going after ELQ as he has a right being an heir and member of the family. In a way if this does happen, learning Val is an heir wouldn’t be quite as interesting as the Q’s coming together to fight his gaining an interest in the family owned company. Another wait and see situation.
I like this twist as it gives both the character and actor the opportunity for more storyline and to interact with others on the canvas. Besides, Valentin is too suave and charming not to have a more prestigious lineage.
