While juggling her high-powered legal career, Molly has apparently been pouring her thoughts into a secret romance novel.
But this isn’t just any tale of love and longing — it includes characters that mirror her real life a little too closely… including Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), as well as one very familiar name from One Life to Live that has longtime fans absolutely gushing.
A Fictional Love Triangle… or Not So Fictional?
In Molly’s novel, the main character is a woman named Delilah — a not-so-subtle stand-in for Molly herself.
The story revolves around Delilah being torn between two potential love interests: one, a rugged and misunderstood guy named Cody (ring any bells?), and the other — shockingly — a character named Clint Buchanan (portrayed by Jerry verDorn). It doesn’t take a super sleuth to connect the dots here.

Cody is clearly being used as inspiration for one of the suitors, and Molly’s complicated feelings toward him may be playing out in her fiction.
Could this be her way of exploring how Cody truly feels about her without having to directly ask? Knowing Molly’s tendency to overthink and analyze, it wouldn’t be surprising at all.
Clint Buchanan Makes a Cameo — Kind Of
But let’s be honest — it’s not Delilah or Cody who are stealing the spotlight here. It’s the name Clint Buchanan that stopped viewers in their tracks.
As any ABC soap fan knows, Clint was a core character on One Life to Live, and his name being dropped in a GH script — even within a fictional story — has major implications.

While it could just be a clever nod or an inside joke for longtime fans, GH has a history of using “fictional fiction” to foreshadow real plot twists. It begs the question: is this the beginning of another OLTL crossover or at least a character revival?

That whole thing with Molly fantasizing about her characters in the book, was so totally ridiculous I thought I was watchibg a really bad SNL skit. Right down to her awful, fake southern accent. And what kind of moronic author names her characters with real people’s names? It is all just so stupid…and Molly is a useless character anyway. Cody deserves so much better.
