    GH has seen a noticeable dip in viewership, leading fans to speculate about what changes might be on the horizon. One tried-and-true method of reviving interest in the show has been bringing back familiar faces from the past. Could we see some major returns to shake things up and get fans tuning in again?

    General Hospital Spoilers — Slipping Ratings Could Spell the Return of a Villain

    The latest ratings reports suggest that GH is struggling to maintain its audience, and with storylines meandering in unexpected directions, some fans have grown frustrated. The good news? A strategic character comeback could help turn things around.

    One possibility is the return of Heather Webber (Alley Mills).     One longshot return that some fans have been buzzing about is Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). After a highly publicized exit, Rademacher sued ABC over his firing, and while his lawsuit was dismissed, he has since appealed the ruling.

    If he were to win his appeal, there is a small chance that GH could find a way to reintegrate Jax into the canvas — though it’s not very likely.

    Jax’s return could shake up the dynamics in town, especially with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) currently navigating a health crisis and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) always in the middle of something dramatic.

    Still, with the legal battle ongoing, it remains to be seen whether GH would ever consider welcoming Rademacher back.

    Another major complaint among fans has been the absence of two key players — Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). With Duell and Monaco both stepping away from the screen, viewers have noticed a shift in the show’s energy, and not for the better.

    Michael’s presence has always been a central part of GH, especially with the ongoing drama surrounding his relationships with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Sonny. Meanwhile, Sam has long been a fan-favorite character, and without her, there has been a noticeable void.

    If GH wants to stop its ratings slide, reintroducing these key figures could be a crucial step in getting fans invested again.

        Just bringing back old characters won’t fix the GH problems at hand. The Powers That Be, need to accept that writing is the cause for GH’s loss in viewers failing to tune in. Most character’s personas have been changed so much they are unrecognizable. Firing/losing/killing off/ and rewriting history of legendary characters has also not been good decisions to keep the show at it’s best. Bringing new characters to canvas that have no impact is yet another problem. GH story telling is the main problem for canvas at this time. Also, GH has lost most of it’s hospital story telling and is only focusing on mob story lines which may bring so called drama but not enough to keep the interest of viewers. Too much putting children in peril is also another problem. GH needs a more diverse canvas when it comes to story telling as too much of one type story telling just won’t hold the interest of viewers. The Love In The Afternoon theme has also gone to downhill as most pairings on GH have no chemistry romantic or otherwise. As writers have changed so many times in the last few years (I can’t keep up), can’t anyone of important other than viewers see there is a problem with writing that is causing GH to lose its viewers. TPTB need to wake up and stop drinking the Kool Aid and get writers who can pen the interesting story lines GH viewers were once accustomed to viewing or else GH will be placed on the shelf with ABC other defunct soaps.

G.H. should hace niped it in the bud and let HER keep talking politics I have a pretty large fan grupo and not anything more we all watch something different because of Nancy gran WHO isn’t even a Goodyear actor WHO G.H World let this happen is WHO rateings are stedily going down.

        Bring back people we like and give them legit, decent storylines. People like Natalia, Sidwell & their two kids have nothing to do with Port Charles. They have no idea what to do with Joss or Molly and Kristina just mostly whines.
        How about bringing back Obrecht & Britt? How about having Obrecht be Michael’s doctor?
        I like the new Lucas. Also like Isiaah.
        Bring back Heather and let her go off on Portia. Bring back Liesl and let her go crazy on Heather for killing Britt.
        Get Joss out of the WSB; too ridiculous. Do we need her “handler?”
        Use Jonathan Jackson. He’s back but has no storyline
