General Hospital Spoilers: Austin Delivers News To Sonny And Nina, Sneaks Them In To See The Baby?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) will deliver some news to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Will Austin tell them that baby Corinthos-Tait has been born and sneak them in to see the baby?

General Hospital Spoilers – Forbidden To See The Baby?

Sonny was thunderstruck when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) told him that he and Nina wouldn’t be allowed to see their granddaughter. Nina had pinned her hopes on being able to save Willow’s life, but when she didn’t have the right genetic markers, it was suggested to try stem cells. They would come from the baby’s umbilical cord and placenta after being delivered via c-section, so it would seem once Nina was useless to them they cut her off.

They cut Sonny off as well, and that just didn’t seem right after he and Nina gave their hearts and souls to be there for them. Austin, not accepted by his Quartermaine family would heartily agree this wasn’t right.

GH Spoilers – Extended Family Means A Lot

Extended family means a lot to Austin, and he became close to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) in the days before she died. Austin feels a connection of sorts to Nina, with her being Britt’s cousin as well as to Britt’s mother Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Britt shared some secrets with Austin in her last days and he was the only person who knew that her big birthday bash was her goodbye. She hadn’t even told her mother, and so the way Nina is being treated by Michael and Willow as well as Sonny, doesn’t sit right with Austin. Austin hears what’s going on when Sonny and Nina try to comfort each other and he’s determined to fix it.

General Hospital Spoilers – Eyes And Ears Open

Austin keeps his eyes and ears open and finds out when Willow’s procedure is taking place. Once the baby is delivered and Willow is going through the stem cells transplant he watches the newborn ICU nursery. Since Willow’s baby is born a few weeks early via c-section the baby automatically is placed in the NICU.

He gives Sonny and Nina a call when the baby is in the NICU nursery and gets them in to see her. They’re not able to pick her up but at least they get a peek, and they’re both very grateful to the disenfranchised Quartermaine for his help beyond the call of duty.
