General Hospital Spoilers: Austin Interested In Quartermaine Family And Befriends Michael, What’s He Up To?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that new Dr. Austin (last name unknown, Roger Howarth) seems to be one of the good guys, at least he is if you ask Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Kidnapped by an evil nurse hired by Peter August (Wes Ramsey), Maxie escaped but was alone and lost in the woods with no idea where she had been taken. And that was the moment that Maxie went into labor. Screaming for help, she attracted the notice of Austin, who as fate would have it, was a doctor and well trained to deliver a baby in the woods. The nurse soon arrived and knocked Austin out. He later arrived at General Hospital

General Hospital Spoilers – What is Austin’s interest in Michael Corinthos and the Quartermaine family

While nothing concrete is known about Austin just yet, including his last name, he seems to be a good guy. But he does seem to have some sort of interest in Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) or at the least the Quartermaine family as a whole. While it doesn’t seem as if he is capable of any kind of violence, it’s really much too soon to tell what motivates him. He seems determined to help authorities in the search for Maxie’s baby. So look for him to befriend Michael in the near future as we begin to get a handle on the newcomer. But’s take a look at one possibility. It wasn’t all that long ago that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) mentioned the name of a long-forgotten and disowned family member, Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond).

General Hospital Spoilers – Jimmy Lee Holt was Edward Quartermaine’s illegitimate son!

Jimmy Lee came to Port Charles looking for his family. He was saddened to meet Edward Quartermaine (last played by the late John Ingle) who was his father. But Jimmy Lee was the product of one of Edward’s numerous affairs and he wanted nothing to do with his newfound son. Jimmy Lee proved to be a thorn in the Quartermaine’s side and even at one point had possession of all the Quartermaine’s assets thanks to a clause in Edward’s father’s will. Jimmy Lee eventually left town and ended up in the same small town Maxie was abducted to. He was mentioned a while back as having been disowned and having no ELQ stock.

General Hospital Spoilers – Is Austin the son of Jimmy Lee Holt?

While it may just be a coincidence Austin is in the same small town that Jimmy Lee once lived in, it seems more likely that Austin is Jimmy Lee’s son. As far as his interest in Michael, Michael was more than just accepted by the family because of his parentage. Michael was fathered by AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), but was also CEO of ELQ until recently and is well-loved by the whole family while Jimmy Lee was never truly accepted. Could he after some sort of revenge or is there more to the story?
