General Hospital Spoilers: Austin’s Redemption, Illegal Act Protects Maxie’s Secret?General Hospital spoilers reveal that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) loves being a doctor. So much that he dropped his lawsuit. Despite Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) hatred, Austin could be the key to protecting Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby secret. It could also guarantee the end of his beloved career in medicine.

Maxie Jones’ Secret

GH spoilers reveal that when Austin first came on-screen, he delivered Maxie’s baby out in the wilderness. Maxie had been drugged and wasn’t in a safe place when she suddenly went into labor. Austin made sure Louise August aka Bailey Quartermaine (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) came into the world safely.

Even though Maxie didn’t trust Austin when he moved to Port Charles, the two are becoming friends. Austin is interested in Maxie romantically, but she doesn’t want to go down that road. If they end up together, Maxie will have a more difficult time keeping the truth about Louise from him.

GH Spoilers: Passion for Medicine

Brook Lynn hates Austin and the feeling is mutual, especially after nearly losing his medical license. Austin has stated repeatedly how much he loves being a doctor. It would take something pretty important for Austin to intentionally put his medical license at risk.

Protecting Baby Lie

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Austin smirked when suggesting to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) that he was being played by Brook Lynn. Austin also saw Maxie give Kip aka “Pauly” (Artie O’Daly) a wad of money. Maxie isn’t happy to find out that Austin has become pals with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs). Austin will want to make this right, but Maxie will also want to smooth things over with the doctor. This could include Maxie telling him the truth about Bailey/Louise.

General Hospital Spoilers: Risk and Redemption

Valentin does vow to help Maxie, but that doesn’t mean he is told the truth. It is most likely a half-truth as Brook Lynn does spin a new story to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). So, at some point, there will be a paternity test. Austin could be key to tampering with that test to make sure Maxie’s secret stays safe. This would earn Brook Lynn’s trust and prove his character to the Quartermaines as well as the entire community of Port Charles.

However, what happens when Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is finally arrested or killed? While Maxie might get her baby back, Austin’s actions in tampering with the paternity test could be exposed.       Austin will indeed finally put together that Brook Lynn/Maxie are working together to protect each other from any threat from Peter August.
