General Hospital spoilers tease that no one is very happy with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) at the moment. Since returning to Port Charles, he’s taken on two controversial clients, and both have them have done nothing to help his reputation.
First off, he took over Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) case from Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), who has mysteriously disappeared. It’s not clear if Scott left Port Charles on his own or not, but before he left he did manage to make sure that Heather had legal counsel.
General Hospital Spoilers – Ric Lansing Got Heather Webber’s Sentence Vacated
Ric managed to prove that Heather’s most violent actions were attributed to cobalt poisoning.
With her diagnosis entered into evidence, the judge decided that Heather was guilty of a lower charge and her sentence was reduced to time already served. But the truth is that cobalt poisoning or not, Heather killed five people as “The Hook.”
Many of Port Charles most prominent residents lost loves ones because of Heather’s actions, so Ric decision to take her case has met with severe disapproval from those around him, including friends and family.
GH Spoilers – Ava Jerome Hopes Lightning Strikes Twice
Heather’s release is good news for Ava Jerome (Maura West) because if Ric could get Heather out of prison, he should be able to win her trial for the attack on Kristina Lansing-Davis (Kate Mansi) and her unborn baby. While Kristina survived, tragically the baby did not.
Ava is still awaiting trial and is on bail until her case is decided. Kristina was acting as a surrogate for Ric’s daughter Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), so Molly is furious with Ric for taking Ava’s case.
But Ric is confident he can get Ava off the hook and if he can prove it was an accident then Molly can finally move on. Of course, Molly doesn’t see it that way.
General Hospital Spoilers – Ric Lansing Will Win Again!
Ric has already set a plan in motion to make Kristina look emotional and impulsive, not to mention prone to angry impulses.
It seems likely that Ric will be able to get a jury to believe in Ava’s innocence. Meanwhile, Ava seems quite smitten with Ric, and even kind of confessed that very thing to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Nina was horrified and tried to warn Ava against it. But if Ric can get Ava acquitted, it’s easy to see a situation where she repays him with a night of passion. And Ric is certainly feeling quite lonely these days so will likely take her up on it. Eventually, these two schemers could even possibly fall in love.
What do you think?
Were you surprised that Ric was successful in getting Heather out of jail? Can he do the same for Ava? Could real feelings develop between Ava and Ric? Anything can happen in Port Charles so stay tuned to General Hospital airing weekdays on ABC.
