General Hospital spoilers leak Ava Jerome (Maura West) had no designs on getting closer to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) when she took him up on his offer for her and Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) to stay with him for the foreseeable future until they could figure out who was targeting both of them.
Sonny has never hesitated to do whatever is necessary to protect the mothers of his children. Ava is clearly no exception, but he never imagined their relationship would evolve into what it has.
With everyone else Sonny once cared about falling by the wayside, Ava saw an opportunity and seized it. Now, rumor has it these two are going to be consumed by one seriously twisted love affair — and it may have been entirely orchestrated.

Ava didn’t have to convince Sonny to give his wife the boot. He axed Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) all on his own.
At that time, Ava felt bad for her friend but also knew this was coming and had warned her for months to tell him the truth. She wasn’t gunning for her girl’s man — not yet anyway.
Having rejected his wife, his best friend returned from the dead Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), his trusted ally and ex-wife Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), his right-hand man Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and his son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Ava’s arms look appealing when they’re the only place for this lonely guy to rest his head.
GH Spoilers Suggest A Steamy Rollercoaster Lies Ahead
Cohabitating with the moody mobster for months without anyone around to be a buffer has led to Sonny and Ava relying on each other more — from simple conversation, to support, to romantic moments.
A few sexually charged glances and one passionate kiss are just the beginning of what we expect to see transpire between Sonny and Ava.
It’s going to make for quite the climax when Nina comes around thinking her new tryst with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will give her a fighting chance with her ex — only to find he’s already moved on with her alleged best gal pal.

The fans are starting to wonder whether Sonny is even in his right mind. Sure, the guy is never good at being lonely.
Ava wouldn’t be the first woman he’s hooked up with during that empty phase between wives that he wouldn’t normally consider keeping company with.

We already know that Ava did not switch his pills. For one Valentin explained to Brennan that he had the pharmacist that Sonny uses for his meds put only 40% of his medication and 60% placebos in his refill. Second Ava took some of the medication when she could not sleep thinking it might help her. She wondered why it did not do anything. If she had been switching his pills she would hardly have been taking them and then wondering why there was no effect from them.
Correct. I think Ava will actually be the first to figure out that there’s something wrong with Sonny’s meds for that reason. They had no effect on her whatever. I could understand how the two of them could easily get involved since they’ve been living under the same roof for quite awhile under sketchy circumstances. And Sonny feels he’s been completely betrayed by almost everyone he cares about except for Ava and Kristina. But it will probably not last!
