Reason Number One-Drew Framed Her Best And Only Friend

Ava and Nina’s friendship did kind of come about in a strange way, considering back years ago Ava was Nina’s husband, Silas Clay’s (Michael Easton) first husband.

Nina’s daughters, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Ava’s oldest daughter Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) were half-sisters.

Nina didn’t even know Nelle was hers until after she was dead, she almost lost Willow to leukemia, and Kiki was murdered by Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).

Losing Kiki changed Ava, just as finding out Willow was her daughter changed Nina-both of the mothers were lying, conniving manipulators in the past.

Ava almost possibly came clean to the PCPD about Drew, but it was too late-perhaps she was going to plead witness protection to do so.

Reason Number Two-Ava No Longer Trusts That Drew Won’t Throw Her Under The Bus!

Reason number two, Ava no longer trusts that Drew won’t throw her under the bus and claim that she was working with Nina to take down Brennan.

After all, Ava was the last person to see him alive! It’s a matter of survival, and she remembers how Nina warned her not to trust Drew, and how he’d mess her over-and now she’s afraid he will! 

That would be an excellent reason to strike first, to keep him from framing her for killing Brennan or turning her in for disposing of his body-which would imply she put Brennan’s wallet in Nina’s car as well.

And then there was the matter of what exactly was that Drew gave her to put in Brennan’s bourbon-one standard sleeping pill shouldn’t have killed him!

Reason Number Three-Two Who Need Ava’s Support

Reason number three, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) needs Trina’s support-even if she’s not working in the art gallery and has switched her focus.

She doesn’t need Ava in prison too, and while we’re at it, Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) needs her mother!

Drew has done nothing to help Ava get Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) influence away from their daughter, and that was the only reason she agreed to help him with Brennan.

Instead, Drew keeps delaying his promise to help Ava get Avery away from Sonny, and instead makes her an accomplice to more and more crimes!

Ava has to stop this cycle, even if she incriminates herself in doing so-as mentioned previously, there’s always witness protection!
