General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Jerome Cassadine Paces In Front Of The Fireplace

In the living room of Wyndemere Castle, Ava paces in front of the fireplace as she calls Franco to find out the status of her portrait progress. General Hospital viewers will recall that he is painting it off a photo he took of her on his cell phone, and had made an initial sketch for her which was vandalized by Charlotte Cassadine, (Scarlett Fernandez) who drew a purple mustache on it with a crayon!

Since Ava is the new mistress of the Cassadine castle on Spoon Island, she had contracted with Franco, her old friend, and former lover, to paint her portrait to take the place of the one of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) which burned up seemingly after spontaneously combusting in her gallery during the auction. She asks Franco, “You’re still coming over for our sitting tonight, aren’t you?

Oh, excellent! I can’t wait for my portrait to be finished – I’m so excited for the unveiling!” Then it shows Franco’s end of the conversation, as he sits in his art studio and tells her, “Yeah Ava I’ll — I’ll be there.” Back to Ava, and she tells him, “Franco, I don’t want to rush you, but you do know that I’ve already sent out all the invitations.” Franco tells her, “Ava, will you relax? I said I’d be done tonight, and I will be!” Ava says “Excellent. That’s just what I wanted to hear.”

GH Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Has Something To Discuss With His In-Name-Only Wife While Franco Baldwin’s Wife Drops In At His Art Studio

Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) then calls out, “Ava!” as Ava tells Franco that she’ll see him soon. Nikolas shouts, “AVA!” as he enters the living room with a stack of mail in his hand. She tells Nikolas, “Yes, darling? What can I do for you?” as he throws the stack of mail on the coffee table. Meanwhile, back at General Hospital, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) knocks on the door of her husband’s art studio and he looks over at her and says hello.

Elizabeth asks what he is working on, and he replies, “Uh – bills and bills …and some bills because I’m trying to…” as Elizabeth comes over and holds his head and strokes his hair. He continues his sentence, “juggle what it is we have to pay now and what we can afford to put off for a little while.” Elizabeth tells him that things are not that tight, and that they are making do. Franco continues, “Well, it’s not that, it’s the college fund.” Elizabeth replies, “Oh, please.” Franco says, “Cam (Cameron Webber, played by William Lipton) has to apply next year.” Elizabeth tells him not to stress her out. Elizabeth spots something on his desk – it appears to be an unopened greeting card and says, “What is this? Can I open it?” Franco tells her, “Yeah, knock yourself out.”

Elizabeth opens it. She says, “Hmm…Oh. Look at this – Mrs. Nikolas Cassadine, Lady of Wyndemere, presently invites you to Spoon Island, for an evening of drinks and delight!” as Franco turns around to look at her. Elizabeth says, “Wow, that sounds swanky! Wonder what the momentous occasion could be?” Franco lies, saying, “Can’t even imagine.” Then Elizabeth spots something else on the invitation and looks over at him with a concerned but slightly angry look on her face – it looks like Ava mentioned the artist name on her portrait that is being unveiled – and that Franco likely will not complete in time!
