General Hospital spoilers suggest Ava Jerome (Maura West) needs Pilar Juárez (Brenda Barberena) to move on from her position as family nanny to the Corinthos household. Convincing Sonny Corinthos that this is the case is not going to be easy. But Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) has made himself rather clear. He wants dirt on Sonny’s illegal enterprise.

The only way for Ava to get her hands on such info is to plant someone in the house who can go snooping for her. She’s not going to be able to infiltrate Sonny’s organization, so she has to infiltrate his home. But Ava just might need some backup when Sonny disagrees with her about Pilar. Is that where Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) comes in?
General Hospital Spoilers — Mason Gatlin Breathes Down Ava Jerome’s Neck
Ava has been dragging her feet on this plan to collect information on Sonny’s deal with the Pikeman Group. Mason is a timely man, or rather, his boss lady is. They’re not going to give Ava much more time before they start making threats. Will they expose her for murdering Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss)? Likely not.
Ava knows how to play this game, and she knows they wouldn’t overplay their hand by giving up the only leverage they have against her when they still want so much from her. When Mason kidnaps Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola), Ava will be furious to find it was all a part of a ploy to make Pilar look bad.

Sonny and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) have been relying on Pilar for a long time. She’s part of the family. Likewise, Sonny knows his family is always a target. When he seems willing to give Pilar a pass, Ava will know she’s going to have to play dirty if she wants to get her fired.
If Ava needs help getting Pilar out of the house and someone else in her shoes, the only person for that job is her best friend, Nina. Ava won’t be likely to spill her secret to Nina that she clobbered her ex-husband over the head and killed him. But when she tells her bestie she needs help, it might just suit Nina’s needs, too, because she is also in a bind.

Lucky for Ava, or perhaps not, Nina also needs a favor. Is this where their friendship might be tested? Ava needs Pilar out of the house. Nina needs Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) out of the house — and then some. She knows Ava has the connections necessary to make someone disappear, and that will be her ask. Is it going to be too much for Ava to entertain?
All this time, she continually encouraged Nina to confess her sins to Sonny. She always thought Nina would be exposed in the end. Does she really want to hitch herself to that wagon?
