General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Protective Of Trina – Launches Taggert Investigation On Her Own

General Hospital (GH) spoilers revealed that Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) is looking to Ava Cassadine (Maura West) for emotional comfort. GH fans know that Trina hasn’t received the understanding she needs from her mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Now, Ava may be looking to fill the gap!

General Hospital Spoilers – Trina Robinson Cries To Ava Cassadine

GH viewers know that in recent episodes everyone and their neighbor, from Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to her good friend, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) is telling her that her father, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) was a bad cop. Now, GH fans can sympathize with Trina because, like her, they know the truth.

Why Portia hasn’t provided the type of emotional support or strength that Trina needs is anyone’s guess. Although Portia showed up in Port Charles following Taggert’s death, she really has seemed like a “hands off” mom. Some GH fans might even call Portia “cold” and “distant.” It doesn’t seem strange to many that Trina cannot or will not turn to her mother.

Now, because Trina is reeling (even her mom is on the “let’s beat up the memory of Taggert” bandwagon) she has turned to the only authority figure in her life who has supported her no matter what. GH viewers know that person is Ava Cassadine. To Ava’s credit, this time at least, she didn’t try to take Portia’s place in Trina’s life. In fact, after Trina got done crying and spilling her emotions everywhere, Ava ensured that Portia got a phone call from her daughter.

GH Spoilers – Ava Hurts For Trina Robinson

Now, the truth is that while Trina is not Ava’s daughter, Trina reminds Ava of her dead daughter, Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin). Thus, Ava has a somewhat built-in affinity for Trina, an innate sympathy for the kid. When Trina hurts, Ava hurts. GH fans know that it’s been made abundantly clear that Ava is more than happy to take Trina under her wing, mentor her, and be as motherly as possible.

What do stereotypical mothers do for their kids? That’s right. They act like mamma bears when their cubs are threatened. Because Trina is threatened by the story that Taggert manufactured and then planted evidence in order to ensure Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was arrested and convicted, Ava finds herself in distress as well.

General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Cassadine Grabs Nikolas Cassadine And Goes On The Hunt

Now, because Trina believes so strongly that her father is innocent, and that the Port Charles police commissioner is pushing a lie and covering something up, Ava might set out to see if she can discover the truth. However, Ava’s resources in town are somewhat limited.

On the other hand, her erstwhile husband, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) has the type of connections Ava might need. GH viewers might see Ava recruit Nikolas in the near future to help her dig into Jordan’s story. After all, if Ava could clear Taggert’s name she would be even more of a superhero in Trina’s eyes than she is already!
