General Hospital spoilers reveal Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) have had their fair share of disagreements, but things mended between them when they thought Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was dead.
They both wanted what was best for Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) and went the extra mile to put their own beef to the side for her sake. Since then, they’ve gotten along most of the time, although sometimes Ava’s bestie, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), gets in the way.
When Carly and Ava sit down to chat soon, Ava is going to serve up a fabulous reminder to Carly that Sonny just cannot be alone.
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Spencer Takes A Stab At Nina Reevves
Carly hasn’t been holding back during her conversations with Nina as of late. She can’t seem to stop herself from delighting in Nina’s pain and reminding her at every turn that she’s not cut from the same cloth as Sonny.
No matter how much Nina loves Sonny, she’s not as well-suited for him as Carly was, and everyone knows it. Why does Carly keep rubbing salt in the wound though? When Carly takes another dig at Nina, Ava just might shed some light on it.

Carly might be surprised when Ava doesn’t necessarily disagree with her. Sure, Nina isn’t as comfortable with the mob life as Carly was. That doesn’t make Nina a bad person or less of a woman than Carly is, but it may make her less of a perfect match for Sonny, and Ava can’t deny that.
She knows what it’s like to be embroiled in that kind of family, having grown up in one. Nina has been exposed to plenty of trauma, but none of it compares to being the wife of a mobster, and Ava and Carly both know that well. It’s not an insult to Nina, but she would probably take it that way.
General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Is Never Single
Of course, Carly won’t get far picking Sonny apart before Ava reminds her that Sonny can’t just be single. He’s never gone for that lifestyle, and he would gladly stick it out with Nina until someone else comes along.
This may be Ava’s way of feeling Carly out and seeing if she’s actually comfortable with the idea of Sonny being with someone else.
After all, she can easily hide behind excuses of what Nina has done to her family to explain why she doesn’t like Sonny being with her specifically, but what if he was with someone else? Ava hit the nail on the head in her comments with Carly. Sonny is never alone but for a short period of time. Ava is right, there is nothing wrong with Nina, but Nina is not the person to be by Sonny’s side as far as mob business is concerned. Ava may be trying to get a feel on where Carly stands. I feel both Sonny/Carly still care for one another, but both are too proud to admit to themselves or to each other that the divorce was a mistake for many reasons.
I think Ava should mind her own business, just a few weeks ago she wanted Carly in jail. Sonny knows his business at hand let him make his decisions. Ava stay out of it where Carly is concerned.
