General Hospital spoilers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) is close to reaching her breaking point. The soap character has been through a lot in the past few years. Ava is one of the most resilient characters on the ABC daytime series, but she is in a dark place right now. Will she be able to bounce back from her latest challenge?
General Hospital Spoilers – Character’s Challenge
Co-head writer Dan O’Connor spoke about Ava’s storyline in the latest issue of CBS Soaps in Depth. The scribe explained that the character has been through tremendous challenges during the past few years. One of these certainly has to be her role in the death of her daughter, Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin). As fans know, Ava inadvertently began the domino effect that ultimately led to Kiki’s death.
However, that isn’t all the woman has been through. Currently, Ava is in for the battle of her life and it is hinted that everything is on the line.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that O’Connor considers Ava to be one of the soap’s most resilient characters. However, she is a human being, which means that there is only so much she can take. It seems that despite her inner strength, she has reached her breaking point.
It isn’t one event that pushes her over the edge, either. The events in Ava’s life have slowly been inching away at her during the past few years. She remained strong throughout many of those storylines. However, she now seems to be struggling. So much that loved ones wonder if she is on the verse of a psychiatric collapse.

As far as Ava’s current struggle, the character is in a dark place right now. Of course, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) hasn’t made things any easier. Instead of him getting the hint, though, Ryan seems more determined than ever to get his way.

GH Spoilers – Who Will Ava Jerome Be After Crisis?
O’Connor pondered an interesting question that hints that fans could see a different version of Ava after all of this is over. While fans know who she was and who she currently is, those two people could be very different from the future Ava Jerome.
“The big question now is whether Ava is capable of bouncing back. And if she is able to do that, who will she be when she comes out of this crisis on the other side?”
