General Hospital Spoilers reveal Ava Jerome (Maura West) has been a good friend to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) over the last few years. Once mortal enemies, these two have come a long way — often bonding over their shared dislike of Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). But that friendship is about to hit the bricks as Ava makes a major move to decimate Nina’s life. What gives, bestie? Nina will be left wondering what happened and what she’s done to deserve such cruelty.

Nothing will make sense, and Ava won’t be able to explain herself to make it make sense when she tells Nina to tell Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) the truth — or she will! Of course, we know Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) is likely to be at the helm of this catastrophe, but that’s for Ava to know and no one else to find out. From the outside looking in, it’ll look like she’s just put Nina’s engagement to Sonny in her sight and she’s ready to pull the trigger.

It seems like Mason has eyes all over town. When Ava screwed up big time by clobbering Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) over the head, leaving him for dead — Mason was there to make sure that almost-corpse was his. Holding Nikolas over Ava’s head all of this time and leading her to believe she killed the man, Mason will have Ava at his beck and call. Of course, she’s not taking  well to her new role. Ava doesn’t like being under the thumb of any man, but wait until she finds out it’s a woman who is ordering her around.

Ava wasn’t thrilled over Nina’s news that she was going to marry Sonny. Honestly, Ava just doesn’t see a way in which this ends well for her gal pal. When Sonny finds out what Nina has done — reporting Carly to the SEC — the would-be wedding will be off before she can open her mouth to even try to beg for forgiveness or explain herself. Ava is just speeding up the inevitable timeline, right? That’s what she might have to tell herself to stomach what she’s about to do to Nina. Not only will this ruin her relationship with the mafia kingpin, but she’s at risk of losing any chance of being in Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) life, too. When she tells Nina to end her engagement, or she will, it’s going to sever all ties between the women.

Obviously, Sonny has been ruling over the mob territory of Port Charles for decades, and his competition is tired of it. They want to bring him to his knees, and they know attacking the people he loves and taking all the joy out of his life is the fastest way to do such to an emotional guy like Sonny.
