In Ava’s case, Alexis can’t mount a proper defense should one be needed if she doesn’t know the whole truth.
All Ava has told her is that Drew was involved and gave her a sleeping pill to drug Brennan.
Even Alexis suggested a scenario where Brennan could have been so impaired that he fell into the Metro Court pool and drowned, having no idea how close to the truth that might be.
But Brennan’s been dead so long now that an autopsy might not even show what drug it was, or whether it’s what killed him.
The more secrets Ava keeps, the more Alexis risks becoming entangled in the crime, especially if she unknowingly helps conceal evidence.
And since Ethan faked the paternity test using someone’s Jacks DNA he knew about in the PCPD files, Alexis could find herself facing serious questions about the adoption case, too!
As Jude’s claim on Phoebe threatens Brook Lynn and Chase’s family, the legal complications could become even more serious.

Ava needs to quit dodging questions and tell the whole truth in both cases, promises to Ethan in one and fear of incrimination in the other or not!
Otherwise, instead of taking Drew down with her if she goes down, she could very well be dragging Alexis into the mess, too.
Of course, Ava doesn’t yet know someone has come to lay claim to baby Phoebe, but it’s only a matter of time before she does, especially if Jude finds out she was dating Ethan!
As Ava’s conversation with Alexis about Brennan’s disappearance revealed, she’s already withholding some very important information.
Alexis could find herself in a whole heap of trouble in both cases if she can’t get Ava to tell the truth.
Attorney-client privilege notwithstanding, sometimes it can be a double-edged sword when a client is at least partly guilty of a crime!

I think Alexis needs to be extremely careful with Ava! She’s already hiding far too much about Brennan’s death, and Drew is exactly the kind of person who would throw someone else under the bus to save himself.
And now there’s the mess with Phoebe’s adoption! I wouldn’t trust Ava to tell Alexis the whole truth unless she absolutely had to. Alexis had better start asking some tougher questions before these two scandals blow up in her face!
