General Hospital spoilers leak Ava Jerome (Maura West) has committed a few felonies at this point while just trying to keep herself out of trouble with the law. Yikes! She should never have lied about what Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) tripped over in her room. She definitely should not have complied with FBI Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates’ (Adam Harrington) bullying her into compliance.
Was Ava actually scared of Cates, or is he just offering her a path to freedom that she found irresistible? Is she relishing actually being able to strike back at Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his family? Regardless of her motives, Ava may have just buried herself by siding with Cates.
General Hospital Spoilers — Little White Lies?
It’s hard to say whether Ava is lying through her teeth sometimes and actually falls for her own tall tales. Maybe she really believes she’s entirely innocent in all of this.
Regardless, Trina was assertive in questioning her friend and demanding some version of the truth that helped her reconcile why Ava would have two different stories about what happened.
Knowing she wouldn’t look good if she said she lied to Trina, she chose to tell a smidgen of the truth. It’s fair to say Cates really is strong-arming Ava into going along with all of this. But it’s also fair to say Ava’s life isn’t necessarily in danger if she doesn’t.
GH Spoilers – Hint the Truth Shall Set You Free
Trina tried to convince Ava that telling the truth was the cleanest way out of this. While it seemed as though Ava was willing to acknowledge that, she wasn’t keen on jumping straight to that decision right away. But what on Earth could she be biding her time for?
She had no way of knowing Sonny was going to offer her any way out of this mess. In fact, she only knew that by joining forces with Cates, she was burying herself deeper in it. Will she take Trina’s sage advice and jump ship before she goes down with it?
General Hospital Spoilers — Holding Out Hope
Ava is in pretty deep now with Cates. If she reneges on him at this juncture, she could risk him exposing some of the other things she’s done.
At the same time, she is aware Sonny already knows she knew about the pharmacist tampering with his meds. If he’s willing to overlook that, she certainly should be grateful.
But Cates also knows she lied to the police not once, but twice now about the incident with Kristina — the first time about his luggage being what she tripped over, and the second conspiring with him to make up a confession.
Is she too entrenched in this to get out, even with Sonny’s help? Will she make the wrong decision to side with the rogue officer of the law and take herself down in the process? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
