The mystery man could be spinning a pack of lies, like his colorful and deceitful mom Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs), but if so he’s doing it while being easy on the eyes and charming to boot. Time will tell if Brando’s story checks out, but in the meantime, he appears not to be a threat to Sonny (Maurice Benard).
However, that may not be the case for a certain Port Charles couple who already are on the brink of disaster.
Is it possible that Brando is the person who finally comes between Brucas?
If so, he would accomplish something that Julian (William deVry) was never able to despite his multiple and nefarious attempts.

Today GH viewers got a pretty complete scoop on who the guy is and what he’s been doing in the recent past, as well as why he came to Port Charles. Thanks to Carly’s (Laura Wright) thorough grilling of the guy while he was still in his hospital room, here’s what we know so far about the very much alive Brando: no he didn’t know who Carly was when he saved her, he’s been in prison, he likes motorcycles, and there’s NO WAY he could have fathered a kid.
Along the way, Brando explained that he came to Port Chuck after seeing a pic of his mom and her “grandson” Dev (Ashton Arbab) on Facetime. Before he could meet up with her, however, he found himself at the scene of an explosive shootout which reminded him of his military days.
Without thinking about it his training took over and he acted to save lives, including Carly’s. The reason he and Gladys are estranged has to do with his turning to drugs as a coping mechanism for PTSD following his service. In fact, he believes that he became dead to Gladys after he stole her paycheck to buy drugs. He eventually spent five years in prison due to his errant ways.

Flash forward to the present day and good guy Brando wound up at the warehouse because he wanted to let Sonny know that Dev is not his son, a fact Sonny is well aware of. When Brando assured Carly there was no way he could be Dev’s father Carly being Carly, she threw caution to the wind and told the stranger all about Sonny’s scheme to help Dev.
Helpful Carly added that his loving mom published an obituary for Brando, on account of the fact that she cashed in on a life insurance policy in his name!

What will Brando get up to next? Healthy soap hunks don’t stay single for long. Is it possible that this soapy hero is destined to be the one who picks up the pieces when the inevitable happens and Lucas (Ryan Carnes) and Brad (Parry Shen) break up? Shrug. I would LOVE to see GH bring Felix back full time and give him a storyline with Lucas. Always loved that character and, typical of GH, they didn’t know what to do with him.
Really? Once Lucas finds out about Brad’s deception, they’ll be over for good. Plus the child will FINALLY go back to Michael. So, best if Lucas just takes off to find himself. Or whatever. Don’t care. Nina and Jax? Just no chemistry…at all! I hope Valentin makes it big and gets revenge on everyone of them. Most of all Lulu, the biggest pain in the a$$ the show has ever produced.
I think that Brando be a good love interest for carly.
not for Lucas. Now Felix and Lucas are good pair.
