General Hospital spoilers indicate that a lot of viewers are hoping that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) soon get up close and personal now that it’s been revealed that the two are not related. And while these two aren’t in fact related by blood anymore, does this mean that we might see Val and Alexis begin a possible romance in the weeks ahead? Maybe. Here’s what you need to know!

Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, actor James Patrick Stuart, who plays Valentin Cassadine on the hit CBS soap, says that there’s a very good chance that fans might see some action between the two characters if you know what we mean. He told the publication, “The soap audiences see things through those sex-colored glasses. That’s one of the reasons we tune into our soaps: We want to get sexed up! And I get that, so I got it when some people said, ‘They have not attached anymore so maybe they will have sex!”

While the fans have definitely spoken, James believes that it might be some time before audiences will get to see Alexis and Valentin get busy underneath the sheets. Before that happens, the two of them will build another kind of relationship, instead. After all, these are two people who share a unique bond of being the illegitimate castoffs from the same family. Actually, make that from the same dysfunctional family.

The actor added, “The truth is, even if they are not genetically related, there’s a sibling thing happening. And ironically, it all started when Helena’s son considered jumping off the Metro Court terrace over his newfound parentage. Alexis talked him down from the ledge, literally. And when they revisited the balcony later, he thanked her and said something like ‘Funny how it took learning you are not my sister to realize just how very alike we are.’”
