General Hospital spoilers and updates indicate that a town emergency is expected to occur during the week of November 10-14. Could something disastrous happen on election night?
There has been a battle for power between the town’s heroes and villains, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), and Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove).
They’re trying to remove Laura Collins (Genie Francis) from her mayoral position to gain access to Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) piers.
Laura has been an excellent mayor for many years and was leading the polls by a wide margin, but due to Drew and Sidwell’s tactics, they have managed to reduce her support.
Part of this is related to the “friendship” she has with Sonny. After all, they are nearly family, sharing a grandson, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), but they also have a long history and friendship.
Dastardly Doings In Store?

It’s difficult not to suspect that Drew and Sidwell might devise something wicked at the last moment, especially since Laura is still slightly ahead. The duo could concoct a plan to prevent people from voting, which would tilt the election results in their favor.
The word “emergency” can be interpreted in various ways in spoilers, so will a storm strike the town, or could there be an explosion that adversely affects several residents? Alternatively, perhaps the “emergency” refers to a power outage or something similar?
A power failure could give Drew and Sidwell the opportunity to delay the campaign by canceling election night and rescheduling it for later.
A Mass Casualty Event?
However, if an event occurs that jeopardizes the safety of Port Charles residents during election night this could distract Laura enough to shift her focus from voting to managing the situation.

Such a scenario might also enable Drew or Sidwell to orchestrate some form of election fraud and ballot stuffing if Laura isn’t vigilant.
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Laura might lose her position as the mayor of Port Charles. And if Ezra takes over as mayor, it would allow Sidwell and Drew to engage in their unlawful activities and schemes freely.
We can’t rule out a mass casualty event of some sort, since that is a soap trope GH has used many times before, like Jerry Jacks’ (Sebastian Roche) poisoning the water. Or even worse, Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) wanting to unleash pathogens on the whole world!
Professor Henry Dalton’s Lab Is In Port Charles University, Where The Mayoral Debate’s Being Held
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention that Professor Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab with its sinister secrets is in Port Charles University, where the mayoral debate’s going on.
The shock that Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) experiences when the door is opened and the shock that Laura has on her face, both in the GH weekly preview could be connected.
We know that Sidwell is closely connected to the lab and Dalton, having just hired Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to be the boss.
We also know Sidwell has a vital ingredient to Britt’s Huntington’s Disease medication, so he’s probably supplying the lab as well! A pathogen, a monster, a herd of rampaging lab animals gone wild, almost anything could happen!
