General Hospital Spoilers: Brad Maule Speaks Out On Reprising His Role On GH

Brad Maule’s return on “General Hospital” leaked out on social media last month and fans have been very excited to see him back on screen. However, it still remains to be seen whether he’ll be resurrected or he’ll appear as a ghost to Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes). Before all that, the actor has something to say about his impending return.

Viewers may recall that Maule debuted his character, Dr. Tony Jones, on the sudser, on the sudser back in 1984. He played his character for 22 years. Throughout that period, he’s saved a lot of lives, survived a gunshot, got married, and lost his family, to name a few. It was an encephalitis outbreak that sent him to his grave in 2006. But before his demise, he shared a powerful scene with his son Lucas.

Now, Lucas needs his adopted dad the most since he’s having problems with his biological dad, Julian Jerome (William deVry). Not only that, his relationship with his husband Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) is on the rocks. He thinks he’s cheating on him. But fans know that Brad’s secret is not some other guy but about their son Wiley Cooper-Jones (Theo and Erik Olson).

General Hospital News – Brad Maule’s Answered Prayer

When asked how his return to the show came about, Maule can’t really explain how it all came to be. He simply said his prayers were answered and that he’s very happy that he’s back. Executive producer Frank Valentini revealed that he’s been thinking about his return for years. The only thing he had to figure out was how and when. Now that he’s back, the actor is feeling a bit nervous since they’re taping much faster than he’s used to but he’s having a wonderful time.

Maule gave special thanks to Eileen Bengelsdorf, Debbie Morris, Debby O’Connor, and all the others who have supported him.

GH News – Brad Maule’s Activities After He Was Killed Off

The actor revealed that after he exited the show, he went to Nacogdoches in Texas and worked for Stephen F. Austin State University as a lecturer in film and acting.

“That’s what I’ve been doing and I’m loving it. I’m going to turn out a whole bunch of good actors that are going to come to Los Angeles and become famous,” he said.
