General Hospital spoilers gossip Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) didn’t stun anyone but Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) when he came to her with proof that she was the culprit who tampered with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) lab results. As it turns out, Brad may not have changed his stripes after all. Sure, he seems committed to getting back to work and earning an honest living in Port Charles, and at GH, but it’s not beneath him to engage in a little blackmail to get the job done.

He figures as long as he keeps Portia’s hands clean, she — his biggest threat to a secure career — will keep her mouth shut about him. But if Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) finds out what Brad and Portia have been up to, all bets are off!

By choosing to resort to blackmail of the hospital’s Co-Chief of Staff instead of coming forward with the truth, Brad has already sunk to a new level of deceit and self-serving behavior that we expected he would. We just weren’t expecting it the first few weeks on the job.

He seemed to be genuinely interested in earning everyone’s respect as he strong-armed his way back into being a member of the GH staff. Now, he has already tainted his reputation again. But the way he sees it, it doesn’t matter if no one ever finds out what he’s done.

Portia felt relieved to finally share the truth about what she had done — fudging Heather’s lab results — with hubby Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) last week.

Come what may, she knew she had his support. But being blackmailed by Brad was the last thing she saw coming, and she may not be as forthcoming about that experience with Curtis moving forward, sheerly out of not wanting him to worry.

After all, she only told him the truth about what she did now because she feared she was going to come under fire and lose her job — and possibly her career.

Had they not been at risk, she may never have opened her mouth. But keeping this from her husband is going to take its own toll, because she knows she can’t necessarily trust Brad to keep his mouth shut.

General Hospital Spoilers — Lucas Jones Learns The Truth

Unfortunately for Portia, it may not be Brad who spills the beans about what she did. With Lucas back on staff and carrying his moral compass with him everywhere he goes, he could come to find out what his ex-husband did too — and we are betting he would hate it.

Of course, he won’t ignore Portia’s responsibility in the matter, but Brad’s dirty behavior will confirm to him that his ex hasn’t changed at all over the years. Will that be enough for him to seek to have Brad fired?
