General Hospital Spoilers: Britt Has Anna Committed – Ferncliff Lockup After Terrifying Gun Attack?

Jason may save Britt from Anna’s armed confrontation, but the aftermath could end with Anna facing an involuntary psychiatric hold.

General Hospital Spoilers: Will Britt, After Being Saved From Anna’s Attack, Put Her In Ferncliff?

General Hospital spoilers and updates pose the question, will Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) put Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in Ferncliff, following her attack?

It looks like Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will likely get to Mount Emerson in time to save Britt, but Anna’s obviously in need of help!

Key Takeaways

  • Jason may arrive just in time to rescue Britt.
  • Anna’s hallucinations could expose how badly she needs help.
  • Britt may push for Anna to be hospitalized after the attack.

Britt Is A Doctor, Although She’s Not A Psychiatrist

Britt is a doctor, although she’s not a psychiatrist, but any doctor can issue a 48-hour mental health hold on a patient, if it is warranted.

Then, if the psychiatric wing at General Hospital feels Anna needs more help, then she would be transferred to a regular mental hospital such as Ferncliff or Shadybrook.

The criteria for a mental health  hold is the patient  being a danger to themselves or others, and Anna certainly is passing that test with flying colors!

Every indication is that Jason will arrive in time and find Anna holding a gun on Britt, but be able to either talk her down or get the gun away from her.

Whether Jason still carries a gun himself is a question, since he’s totally divested himself from the mob-but, there is a case for carrying for self-defense and saving others.

Jason And Britt Will Both See Anna Is Badly In Need Of Mental Health Help

Jason, who has a touch of post-traumatic stress disorder himself, should recognize it in Anna-besides, there was some discussion by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) he’s aware of.

Britt, as a doctor will recognize the problem through her training-every doctor regardless of their specialty is trained in three basic things: first aid, recognizing physical illness and recognizing mental issues.

There’s a good possibility that both of them will see her responding to someone who is not really there-her constant hallucinations of Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

Once Anna is disarmed, there is the question of how to get her to the hospital for treatment-there’s a good chance Jason may call Valentin for help!

Anna No Doubt Will Fight It Tooth And Nail, But She’s Not Going To A WSB Facility

Anna no doubt will fight it tooth and nail, when it comes to being forcibly taken to a hospital of any kind, but they will stress she won’t be in a WSB facility, this will be local.

It may take specialized doctors to be able to cure the PTSD and likely residual brainwashing,  but her loved ones will be close by, and able to visit-and encouraged to.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may find himself having to pinch-hit as Police Commissioner again, but it won’t be a big deal-Dante has been there, both with brainwashing and the PTSD.

But Anna will be anything but isolated, the way she was in the French clinic-and no rogue WSB personnel in Ferncliff, nor in Shadybrook.

After the Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) debacle a few years back, stringent protocols are in place!
