General Hospital spoilers tease that in Port Charles, NY Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may herself be suffering from a terminal condition, as when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came to talk to her about Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in a recent episode of General Hospital, she mentioned getting things done in “the time she has left.” This was in a room full of brain MRI images; is she okay?
General Hospital Spoilers – Are Those Scans Of Someone Else’s Brain, Or Of Britt Westbourne’s?
General Hospital viewers will recall that Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) has been secretly treating Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) for his brain tumor and for the voices in his head, which are Peter August (Wes Ramsey). They are thought to be residual memories from the memory transfer of Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) memories. When Jason (Steve Burton) came into the room looking for Britt, there was a desk with a computer, a microscope, and a light box full of MRI images of a brain or brains. There were also scans of a brain or brains displayed on the computer on the desk.
It is possible that this is the room that Liesl uses and that they are Franco’s imaging studies. However, during Jason and Britt’s conversation, in which he got the wrong idea about a drug she was looking at under the microscope – which he looked at too – Britt got irritated with him. She mentioned she had better things to do in “the time she had left”. Jason hadn’t seemed suspicious of all the brain imaging MRIs on the light box or on the computer, so it doesn’t seem like she was trying to cover for her mother and her work with Franco. Is it possible that Britt was referring to herself, and let something slip that she didn’t mean to – that her own days are numbered?
GH Spoilers – Britt Westbourne Doesn’t Seem To Have Any Symptoms; Are Those Her Own Pills She Was Studying?
General Hospital viewers will recall that Cyrus (Jeff Kober) had brought in an experimental painkiller to GH, and it seems like that might be what Britt was studying. She had mentioned it to Jason previously, and it is the drug he was talking about when he accused her of supplying it to the patients of GH, or allowing Cyrus to. That is what ticked her off, and she was upset that Jason would think she would do that. He asked her how she got the pills she was studying and did Cyrus supply them. Cyrus may have, but Britt insisted none were being given to the patients. She is Chief of Staff and a Chief of Staff can get or request any medications that are needed, apparently even if they are experimental.
Britt doesn’t seem to have any of the standard symptoms of a brain tumor or other malady such as an aneurysm; perhaps this is her own medication she is studying. She was amazed at how it increased dopamine in the brain, which although it is a pleasure enhancing neurotransmitter naturally, its chemical clone, used for treating Parkinson’s Disease could conceivably be abused for a high. Time will tell, but General Hospital fans cannot help but wonder what Britt meant with her cryptic comment to Jason and if she may not have much time left due to a brain tumor or other terminal condition!
