General Hospital Spoilers: Britt Saves Lucas From Sidwell’s Revenge Attack?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will defend Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) this week on the ABC soap.

With a vengeful Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) still recovering in the hospital, and seemingly wanting to stay there as long as possible, could he target Lucas for revenge?

Sidwell Seems To Be Biding His Time

Sidwell seems to be biding his time, and although his main target is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), whom he blames for his attack, he never would have been arrested if it weren’t for Lucas!

No one would put it past Sidwell to take his time recovering so he can stay in the hospital longer, although the heart attack he suffered was real.

Had it not been for Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer), Sidwell seriously could have died.

It was Lucas who helped set Sidwell up for arrest, wearing a bulletproof vest while Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and others witnessed Sidwell attempt to shoot him.

The idea was to get Sidwell to commit a chargeable crime during the sting, and obviously, it worked!

Sidwell has already shown just how dangerous he can be, and Lucas’ involvement in Britt’s medication scheme previously raised concerns about the trouble he might face.

Britt Dropped In On Sidwell Recently

Britt dropped in on Sidwell recently, partly to gloat about not dying from Huntington’s disease after all, although she still hasn’t told the police she saw him kill Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard).

Honestly, she probably should. That would give investigators another potential murder charge to pursue against Sidwell, rather than just the attempted murder charge that resulted from the sting!

Sidwell could be in prison for a lot longer, and the world would be safer if Britt reported what she witnessed. After all, there’s no statute of limitations on murder!

Regardless, she’s keeping an eye on him since great harm could come to several people she cares about should Sidwell recover enough to escape or attack someone.

As Sidwell’s recent hospital visit with Britt demonstrated, he still has plenty of secrets and unfinished business.

And no one would be surprised if he wanted revenge on Lucas. If it weren’t for him, Sidwell might never have been arrested in the first place.

Britt Defends Lucas

Britt will find herself defending Lucas in Wednesday, October 14’s General Hospital episode, and it could happen at the hospital where they both work.

Britt and Lucas are unlikely friends, yet he was willing to help her when they both thought she had Huntington’s disease, and Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) died because of the dangerous situation surrounding her medication.

But Marco’s killer, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), was taken out in a bloody waterfront WSB takedown, so Sidwell can no longer target his former partner.

That could leave Lucas vulnerable if Sidwell decides to direct his anger toward someone else.

Could Sidwell attempt to attack Lucas while he’s at the hospital, forcing Britt to intervene?

Whether it’s a physical confrontation or a threatening encounter, Britt certainly wouldn’t stand by and let Sidwell hurt her friend!

And with a separate October storyline hinting at danger for Lucas, there may be even more trouble ahead.

I wouldn’t trust Sidwell for a second! He’s already proven he’s capable of just about anything, and I certainly wouldn’t put it past him to go after Lucas for helping put him behind bars.

I’m glad Britt is standing up for Lucas. After everything he’s been through with Marco, the last thing he needs is another dangerous confrontation.

But I also think Britt needs to tell the police everything she knows about Sidwell. Keeping his secrets could come back to haunt her!
