General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may have a major romantic shakeup ahead of her. Since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is on the verge of a stunning exit, that may open the door to a new romantic situation for Britt.
Jason had it all planned out and hoped to hide in Canada with Britt while her medication was being recreated. Unfortunately, Jason’s scheme to wipe Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) off the map will send things spiraling into chaos.
Jason was counting on getting rid of Cullum on the way out of town, but he really should’ve taken Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) up on his offer to let someone else do it instead!
Once everything goes wrong, Jason and Britt’s chance for a future together may blow up in smoke. One way or another, Britt may find herself heartbroken and alone following Jason’s failed plan.
Now that Steve Burton’s on-screen departure is rapidly approaching, what will Britt’s next romantic chapter look like? There could be good news looming for anyone who’d like to see Britt paired up with someone else.
Fans in that category may get their wish since GH insider reports point to some new men joining the cast. The show hasn’t confirmed these fresh hires yet, but there’s buzz about multiple guys coming on board.

Insiders also claim one of those men is being cast as a love interest for Britt, so that sounds promising. The show can hopefully find someone talented who has on-screen chemistry with Kelly Thiebaud and set the stage for a big debut.
Of course, that doesn’t necessarily rule out the possibility of a Jason and Britt reunion once Steve Burton returns to work in the summer. Jason might get tangled up in a love triangle with Britt and the new guy in her life, so they could vie for her heart.
Then again, this would be an easy opportunity for a clean break and could allow Jason to move in a new romantic direction as well.
Britt and Jason were a nice match once upon a time, but their story is about to lose momentum and may be better off fizzling instead of picking it back up somewhere down the line.
