Thiebaud recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD), highlighting what fans can expect on the horizon now that she’s returned to her stomping ground.
Britt Westbourne’s Uphill Battle
Thiebaud hinted that Britt will have an uphill battle upon her comeback. She tells SOD, “I think it’s going to be really hard for her,” noting that the connections she has with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will make it easy for sparks to fly between the two.
With that said, she hasn’t forgotten that Jason broke up with her (and broke her heart) to marry Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), due to Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benar) absence and his organization needing tending to.
The move made Britt feel like she wasn’t his top priority. While she still loves Jason, she doesn’t want to make past mistakes. She’s going to navigate this reunion slowly, and who could blame her?
In addition, Thiebaud says that the feud between Britt and Carly is far from over, and there will still be lingering tension.

A Mother’s Pain
General Hospital spoilers note that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will be happy to have her daughter back, but the fact that Britt kept this all a secret will have her feeling hurt. Britt will have to work overtime to regain her mom’s trust, and there will be some mother-daughter drama.
Still, Thiebaud is over the moon to be working with Gati again, telling SOD, “She is such a light, and I don’t think they could have brought Britt back without Kathleen!” She continued by saying, “I think the fans would have been so disappointed if she wasn’t there, so I’m really glad that worked out.”

I did like the new and improved Britt, and bringing Dr. O back to canvas. But, if the only reason for the return is that to be paired with Jason, both characters could have stayed away in my opinion. I previously thought about the emancipation idea for Scout, but her age would be a factor unless some how a mistake was made in her birth date has been mentioned. But what the heck, writers change history whenever they feel like it, so why couldn’t it be done to help Scout get out of the situation with Drew as to where she resides until an adult as worse things have been penned for the sake of a story line.
