General Hospital Spoilers: Brokenhearted Valentin And Anna Take Comfort In Each Other – New PC Couple?

General Hospital: Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)

General Hospital spoilers tease that a brokenhearted Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) may take comfort in each other over their individual heartbreaks in an upcoming episode of GH!

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Is A Broken Man

Valentin Cassadine – or is he Valentin Romanov or even Ivan Theodore? – is a broken man since his DNA test with comparison to the DNA of the woman he thought was his half-sister, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) came back as no relation!

That means he is not a Cassadine, as Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) told him that the codicil said, and the reason he was specifically disinherited. He thought it was just another mind game of Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) but then the DNA test proved he’s not a Cassadine! Yet, he was in the family book that he found after Helena died, and he has a Cassadine ring like the rest of the Cassadine brothers did and Nikolas did – Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) never gave it back to him after she found it in Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) room in Shadybrook.

Valentin’s whole self-image was based on his being a Cassadine, and now it turns out that instead of being rejected and put in a boarding school because of being “Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) bastard son” he’s Helena Cassadine’s bastard son!

GH Spoilers – Anna Devane Has Had Her Heart Broken

Anna Devane has had her heartbroken as well – over her son (as far as she knows, she never was able to catch up with her twin sister over the summer) Peter August (Wes Ramsey)!

Her fiancé, Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) took his daughter, Violet Barnes (Jophielle Love) and moved out because he sides in with her ex-husband Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) that Peter is guilty as sin for all the things that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Samantha McCall (Kelly Monaco) have tied him to, from the disappearance and presumed death of Drew Cain (Billy Miller) to the hiring and then killing of attempted assassin of Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) David Black (Lon Gowen)! Anna is just as devastated as Valentin is, and but for a different reason.

She can’t face that her fiancé broke up with her and accused her of breaking the law – by withholding evidence. Much of her self-image is tied up in having been a WSB agent and one time the Port Charles Police Department Commissioner, but she cannot forgive herself for giving Peter away as a baby. She will never abandon him again!

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine And Anna Devane Have More In Common Than Broken Hearts

Valentin more than likely will seek Anna out – they have much more in common than broken hearts. Valentin also regrets taking Peter from the family that he was placed with by the midwife and giving him to his birth father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

But Anna is the person that Valentin has known the longest in Port Charles, and even though there was some confusion as to whether he fell in love and dated Anna or not, not knowing she had a twin named Alex at the time – who was impersonating Anna – they were all in spy school together and Anna befriended the young Ivan Theodore, which is what he went by back then. She still considers herself his friend even though they have been on opposite sides of the law now and then!

Since she has known him for so long, even before he had the many surgeries he endured to correct his scoliosis, he will seek her out for comfort and a shoulder to cry on. He doesn’t know yet that Finn and Anna have broken up, and they will take comfort in each other and perhaps even work together to protect Peter! Anna may also do a new investigation – into the Cassadines during the time that Valentin was born – and find that Helena may have found some way to fake that codicil after all! After all, Mikkos died in 1981 – when Valentin was 24 years old and in spy school with Anna! Why didn’t he find out about this then?

Why wasn’t this codicil unearthed until years later, and hidden in a portrait that wasn’t even painted until shortly before Helena died? DNA test or no DNA test, there’s more here than meets the eye and Anna will be willing to help her old spy school friend find the truth as he will be more than happy to help her protect Peter!

      It was Valentin who handed Peter to Faison, which shaped Peter’s life and that might prove too much for Anna to forgive.

      I think that Anna and Valentin would be a good couple. I think that they could bring comfort to each other at this time. Anna and Valentin went to the WSB academy together. Valentin wanted Anna back then. I have thought that it was possible that Valentin and Anna could be Peter’s parents. They could have been together and their memories altered by Cabot to make them forget that they were his parents. I have wanted that or for Robert to be Peter’s real father. I think that it would be easiest for Anna and Valentin’s parents because they both already love him. It might bring them together as a family especially if Anna and Valentin could find a way to help Peter with this mess. Anna just saved Charlotte and I think that would bring Anna and Charlotte together. I do not believe that Valentin would mind if Charlotte was around Peter. I think it might make for an interesting family dynamic with Anna, Valentin, Peter, and Charlotte. It think it would work.
