General Hospital Spoilers reveal Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has carried the secret of her baby’s adoption with her for all of these years — never sharing it with another soul but her mother, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer).

What Brook Lynn didn’t know was that Lois arranged for her child to be adopted by someone she knew and trusted, so that she — grandma — wouldn’t lose touch with where he was out in the world.

Now, Brook Lynn is starting to second guess whether she should have lied to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about her past. When she decides to come clean, it could not only destroy her marriage, but her relationship with her mother, too.

Brook Lynn has been living with the weight of this secret, especially now that she’s found love with Chase. The thought of telling him the truth has been gnawing at her, but the revelation that Lois had a hand in where her child ended up?

That’s a bombshell waiting to detonate. When Brook Lynn finally decides to spill the beans to Chase, the fallout could be catastrophic. Chase will most certainly see this as a betrayal of trust, especially since they’ve been building their relationship on what he believed was honesty following a string of lies from her in the past. Can their love survive this?

But what about Brook Lynn’s relationship with her mother? Lois has always protected her baby girl, and thought she was doing the right thing by keeping the baby close, ensuring she could still be a part of her grandson’s life in some way.

However, this well-intentioned manipulation might backfire spectacularly. When Brook Lynn discovers the full extent of Lois’ involvement, the trust between mother and daughter could be irreparably damaged.

Lois might argue that she was looking out for Brook Lynn’s best interest, but at what cost? Brook Lynn might feel like her autonomy — her right to make her own choices — was stolen from her. Will she ever be able to look at her mother the same way, or will this be the rift that tears them apart for good?

The fans went wild hearing Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) state in Brook Lynn’s presence that the cover-up was worse than the crime when it came to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) sneaking around at the gatehouse against Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliott) expressed wishes — or demands, if you will.

Dante isn’t just going to learn that Brook Lynn never told him she got pregnant with his child, but he’ll be equally as angry with Lois for stowing him away where she could have access to and a relationship with him that no one else would.

Likewise, it seems like his own dad — Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) — may have been a part of that manipulation, too. To add insult to injury, he will also learn that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) knew Brook Lynn was pregnant by him way back, too.
